This place is a jem! It should be part of the world heritage because of the Prego! it's slightly outside of the busy city center and that's a great thing. They have tables inside and outside, being lunch, we opted for outside and were served very well. We ordered a couple of pregos and a couple of burgers. What comes on the sandwiches can differ slightly from what is described on the menu, for me it was great! What the kids didn't want, went on my prego! As far ad the prego, meat cooked perfectly medium rare, well seasoned, on a bread bun, maybe slightly small for those with a big appetite, order two! Washed it down with a bottle of the house green(vinho verde branco) This is a must for a stop in Guimarães! You may even catch a glimpse...

It's a pretty popular/old eat-in restaurant, affordable with meals on the average of 5-10 euros. Quite cozy to say the least, with two rooms to sit-in. One which faces the counter and another with less direct contact right on the side. The best part of this restaurant is it closes late into the night especially on Friday nights. Sometimes as late as 3am. The kebab 🥙 tastes good and it's franscinha is great as well. Both going for around €3-5.5 euros. The owner, Júlio is a friendly elderly man who's company...

Recommended to us after a city tour as the best steak sandwiches in Guimaraies. Even though we speak only English and the staff speaks mainly Portuguese they were very accommodating. A fantastic plate of sirloin steak tips with olives, sausage, bread and fries and a steak sandwich for my wife. Some of the best steak I have eaten, flavorful, tender & juicy. 2 large bottles of SuperBock & 1 small water all for 28 euro....
