My husband and I stumbled in for a pre-dinner drink when we arrived in Guimaraes on motorcycles after a long day riding. The owner Andre filled our cups and spent some time talking about Fado, music and his hometown tapas restaurant. Totally charming company; we made a reservation for dinner right then and there. Well OMG, what a wonderful time we had for dinner! We ordered the tapas tasting menu and filled our bellies with the most delicious elevated tapas we've ever had! Every bite was divine! The wine was wonderful, nice scotch selection too. 10/10 want to go again! Thanks Andre for a special meal we'll always remember! Kathy & Doug from Canada 🇨🇦

Good food, not great. The portions seemed a touch small compared to other gastropubs in the area. Good prices though. I tried the Mushroom and mixed veggies omelet... Pretty tasty. Almost more like an egg pizza than a traditional omelet. And since that didn't fill me up, I ordered a plate of nachos. Very good taste, but again the portion seemed small. I wonder if the idea is more of a bar than a gastropub, but either way, it was good. I tried THEIR in house IPA... very good, just a pretty small cup for 3€...but all in all... A good little place to visit!

Très mauvaise expérience dans ce resto que je ne recommande absolument pas malgré sa note correcte. Pour commencer, il nous est proposé des petits toasts, que nous acceptons volontiers, pensant qu'ils nous sont gracieusement offerts. Nous découvrirons à la fin qu'ils nous seront facturés 2 euros pièce... Nous prenons quelques entrées / snacks qui étaient tous aussi catastrophiques les uns que les autres, des frites soi disant maison qui se sont avérées être sorties d'un paquet de chips, avec une mayonnaise insipide, un carpaccio de betterave crue avec une vinaigrette blanche industrielle, et des nachos avec un guacamole fade. Il n'y a que les boissons qui étaient correctes... Et pour finir, nous découvrons à la caisse que le resto refuse la CB pour s'éviter de payer des taxes, sans que nous n'en ayons été informés directement... Assez scandaleux. Bref, passez votre chemin et ne vous fiez pas à la note google positive du restaurant qui n'est pas fidèle à la cuisine de ce dernier. Restaurateur qui ne fait pas honneur à la qualité des restaurants de Guimarães.

Overall, it was an amazing experience. The service was excellent, very friendly and helpful. I give 4 stars for the food because the first tacos that came were made out of wheat which I didn’t know because im used to the traditional corn tortillas. As im wheat allergic I had to order the corn ones which weren’t soft tacos :-( but everything else was fantastic and I’m coming back to try the beetroot carpaccio because it wasn’t ready to serve yet! :-)
