My family and I recently enjoyed a delightful lunch at Trapani, and we left thoroughly impressed. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The pizzas, oh, the pizzas! They were nothing short of excellent—each bite bursting with flavor, thanks to a perfect blend of traditional ingredients with a creative twist.
What truly elevated our experience was the impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, displaying genuine care and flexibility, especially with our children. Speaking of which, Trapani is definitely a family-friendly establishment, with a welcoming atmosphere that made our kids feel right at home.
And let's not forget dessert—the perfect sweet ending to our meal. An excellent Tiramisu and a delicious Nutella Pizza.l for the kids.
While our overall experience was fantastic, there's always room for improvement. We did notice some smoke in the room, likely from the oven, so enhancing the air extraction system could further enhance the dining environment.
In conclusion, Trapani exceeded our expectations in terms of both food quality and service. It's a place we'd happily return to and wholeheartedly recommend to fellow pizza enthusiasts and...
Read moreOld town Guimaraes has two pizzerias. I visited Trapani since the other was closed on my 2nd visit. After selecting fig and prosciutto and zucchini and basil, both topped with ricoota cheese, I thought maybe it was my good fortune that the other pizzeria was closed. I was right!!! Trapani's pizza is outstanding. The crust is lighter and crisper, flavors more delicate and made with more artisican care. The Owner Chef told me that his dough is made with 3 flours, to avoid heavy pizza crust. And that gluten intolerant clients had no problems. We had a fun talk about pizza worldwide: Rome, Brooklyn and San Francisco. Service was warm, friendly and accommodating. I took 2 pieces to go for my husband! This pizzeria is a real find, it's a few blocks outside Old Town Guimaraes and definitely worth the additional walk. Clean, well lit dining room with outside tables, nothing fancy. Living in California, I hope to revisit Guimaraes for another...
Read moreWas passing by on my way to train station after spending a day in Guimarães, the amazing birthplace of Portugal, and got a glimpse of the pizzaria. It looked inviting and what caught my eye immediately was the long glass enclosure filled with a row of different pizzas.
I asked for a slice and it was especially heated up for me. Sat at one of the few tables and it was piping hot when brought to me in a few minutes.
Turned out to be very, very tasty!! So much so that I had another slice, all washed down with Super Bock on draft.
Overall, excellent taste, nice atmosphere and warm, attentive service. Definitely...
