Maré cheia — Restaurant in Lagoa

I’m afraid to say our experience at this restaurant was bad, I have given 2 stars because we did eat our food but that’s the only reason. The table arrangements are ludicrous Covid or not you do not expect to be crammed into lines of tables with no space between them and plastic screens either side of you so you can’t move. Our food was left on the pass and got cold, our potatoes and salad didn’t arrive until half way through our meal and we had to ask for it, there were no tools for dealing with the crab again until we had struggled on and again we had to ask for them. The food wasn’t great but passable and it was very expensive for what it was. No nice touches like a finger bowl or wet wipe to deal with mucky hands and nothing at the end of the meal like a complementary drink or even a mint. Considering our meal was over €120 for two of us you would have thought they would have wanted to encourage us to come back. It was clear all they wanted to do was serve you and get you out as soon as possible so they could do another cover. In short either find somewhere else along the quayside or be prepared for...

Worse, it's difficult. Too bad you can't put zero stars. We have chosen the most expensive dish to be the New Year's Reveillon. After an expectation of more than an hour and a half we received our dish with still frozen shrimps whose carcass could not be detached from the flesh. We had specified that we do not want garlic but we received a dish of clams which contained more garlic than goods. Regarding the crab there was an infamous mixture which is bizarre since all the staff is Asian and that we know this food by heart. This was probably one of the worst Restaurant experience I,ve ever had in my Life. We were a Group of 5 persons, ordered 5 Main courses, some drinks, salad, fries and so on. One person got her food (without the side dish) 30 minutes ahead of us. The salad and the Chips never arrived, but the salad was still on the bill. We also waited 90 to 120 minutes till the food arrived. After confronting the owner and asking for a discount for this horrible experience, he did Not reacted to the critics, instead he wanted to call the police.
