Restaurante Tony's — Restaurant in Lagoa

We came here as a group of 4 for some lunch. To be honest, the food here was pretty awful. I ordered a club sandwich, the bread was stale and rock hard on the ends. The meat was processed slices of chicken and ham, about two of them. We also had a burger, and left it. Finally, two salads - which were well presented but just weren’t worth the price for the small portion and quality. The seats are just sat in the road, so the atmosphere matched. I’m always willing to give the benefit of the doubt, but I’ve never been out for a meal and served a slice of processed chicken on stale bread and charged over a tenner...

We have been coming here since Tony's established in 2014 and this is another fantastic example of being good consistently. My meal was the Tiger Duplo burger. This burger was cooked just right, very tasty and they had no issues throwing in some pineapple as requested, which, made this burger go over for me as I love pineapple on burgers! For drink I had a Tropical Breeze smoothie and that was also delicious. Tony's is always a must go for our holidays and I highly recommend, good food, consistency, relaxed atmosphere and...

Certainly not fine dining but that's not what you gib here for. This is nice food at great value. €3 for a beautiful bacon sandwich(proper bacon, not streaky).. English breakfast nicer than the breakfast you get in England. Especially the sausages. Beautiful, I was here two days previous tor his and had a bifana was nice and only €3.50 with a cheese burger. And while the beef over in Portugal is nowhere near as nice as at home in Ireland it was still very nice and again exceptional value.
