What an awful experience. I got there at 4pm and sat with my pregnant wife in the balcony by the sun. The waiter, Mr. Carlos, asked us to go to a 2-seat table by the shadow, although they had four empty 4-seat tables available by the sun. I wish that was the end. Mr. Carlos allowed us to order a starter only after we decided the main dish, arguing that the restaurant would be crowded soon. Being rushed, we ordered the dishes. My pregnant wife is not eating fried food, so she kindly asked if the siding (French fries) could be replace by vegetables or baked potatos (both cheaper than the fries), which was denied unreasonably. We decided to leave the place without eating and asked for the check - we have had water. The water was billed as 3 euros, and, after denying the card payment (only over 5 euros for cards, he said), I figured I was charged 3.5 euros.

Read moreWe were a party of four and ordered four starters together with bread, butter and olives. We received only one starter - the shrimps (CAMARÃO ALHINHO C/ PIRI PIRI). After waiting for 15 min I asked one waiter whether they had forgotten the rest. He went back in and after a short moment came back with the rest of the starters and more or less slammed it on the table. No sorry, no word whatsoever. The delivery however was still wrong. We had ordered bread for all, butter, fries and olives. What was served was one piece of bread even though four had ordered and two portions of fries whereas only one was ordered. To be fair, the shrimps were good though. For the main dish we had the BACALHAU Á CASA DA TELHA. Had better cuts of Bacalhau for less money in Lisbon, Porto, Fuzeta, Sagres, Setubal, Cascais, Peniche, Nazare and Monte Gordo. Won’t be back✌️

We had the Chorizo sausage as an appetizer, my partner had the sea Bass, I had piri piri chicken. We paid cash. This was absolutely the correct restaurant. And for sure the food that caused my partner to go the hospital, where the physician said he had never seen a case like this in his 5 years working at the hospital and that it for sure was the kitchens fault as the severity of the food poisoning pointed to cross contamination.
Please deal with this issue because it was unbecoming of the beautiful city your charnel restaurant resides in.
