Really enjoyed the food and service here the 1st visit but on the second visit the waiter took our order, nothing not even drinks for an hour and when we asked where our food and drink was he came back with a menu and we told him we had ordered WITH HIM already an hour ago, then he came back and said there was an issue with the system and he took our order again. Waited another 30 mins or so then when we asked for the bill took another 15, had a small child who was very over tired at this point. When we eventually got the bill I would have thought as a gesture of good will they would take even a drink or 2 off but nothing, I said it to the waitress and she just ignored me! Then as we went to leave the waited very rudely and sarcastically shouted 'thanks so much guys!'as we left. Safe to say we won't be back any time soon, pity cause food is good just expected better after being left waiting for so long for somewhere that's...
Read moreThis is currently one of my favourite places. So why not 5☆? Because they are popular, the service is often quite busy. Specifically last time. We were told it would take 15 minutes before the kitchen would be ready for lunch, but it took 40 minutes before I actually got food.. The thing that hit me the most, was, how I literally put the last bite on my fork and the waitrwss just pulled the plate from under me. I asked her to please be able to use the sauce on it, and as I scraped the sauce on my fork, she pulled the plate. I was flabbergasted. This same waitress came with the bill, and the whole paying was so disrespectful. The food is absolutely amazing, and the interior is great (except the toilets, please let me know if you guys need an interior designer, I would love to make it beautiful), and most of the time, the waiters are super nice too. So, let's hope it was just the wrong moment. The place is definitely...
Read moreReally beautiful cafe, nice service, but bad food. I kept this cafe for our last night in Luz because it looked so good, and was very excited to go, but I ended up deeply disappointed. I tried six tapas: tuna tataki (4 thin slices of tuna on top of couscous with a sweet sauce), pulled beef (supposedly hot but served cold, also with a sweet sauce), salmon tartare (very poor quality salmon, pale pink, little taste), mackerel (mixed with a sweet and peppery mayo), garlic shrimps (good but small), and meatballs (5 small pieces, okay). There’s a sweet sauce in every dish that is reminiscent of British salad dressing... not for me. Even if the food had been good, the prices are way out of line for the area: at 65eu for 6 tapas and 2 cocktails, it ended up being our most expensive and lightest dinner (pricier than two 200gr steaks with wine!). I...
