It was so good that we had to come two nights in a row!
The place is very stylish, and clean. And the focus is really on the food and service - which is excellent. The waiters are extremely helpful and so cute, we were served by two Italian girls and boy do they know their thing! The food is Naples inspired and very Italian, so you will not be disappointed. The menu is in Italian and Portuguese, and I wouldn't change it, because they waiters explain it to you and it makes the whole experince really personal just because of that. The first night we had 3 starters to share. We hade the octopus, the anchovies with burrata and razor clams. It was all delicious! The second night we had the pasta with grouper (I think?) the anchovies with burrata again, and the tuna with ruccola (see picture).
We had white wine both nights and it really is greatly paired with the food. I would definitely go a third time, but we are leaving tomorrow. So I will have to come back for next time, because believe me - there will be a third time.
We didn't reserve ahead both nights. But it's definitely a popular place, so if you are a larger group or want to be sure you get a table - make a reservation!
Don't miss it if you are in the neighbourhood, and definitely don't miss it if you...
Read moreAlthough it feels as though a few dishes use the same ingredients prpducing similar palettes (cherrie tomatoes, olives, capers?), it is the most authentic southern Italian restaurant in Lisbon. The seafood is fresh, and the "A paranza chitarra" spaghetti is among the very best pasta I've had in Lisbon. Sword fish and fried calamari were absolutely spot on as well. Tiramisu was better than most I've tried in Lisbon, it was honest but for me was ok (am too used to my nonna's! 😄), however, their "Baba" is straight out of the streets of Naples! Had been trying to dine here for some time, it's always busy and now I know why. Will be back to try more dishes! Highly recommend it for anyone feeling like seafood & authentic...
Read moreCan I give ten stars please? Google? Ok, we didnt plan, we didn't know anything in advance, we weren't even that hungry, but we luckily got a table here (the last table in the back) and now this is my favorite restaurant in Europe. We had the couvert (a very nice salad and seaweed fritters), then razor clams (omg so good, never had that before), aubergine carpaccio (lovely), and an amazing searedtuna/caperberry/olive/sun-dried tomatoes/spinach dish (heaven), then a ricotta&pear cake (aaaah!). We never even had an entree because we weren't hungry enough... I'll regret that as long as I draw breath. Very unpretentious, very familial personality for everyone there. I wish them all the best, and I cannot recommend...
