Crab soup had a good roe amount blended in, more of the dark flavour from the crab miso. The crab flavour is decent, however the ginger is very harsh here. It accounted for half the flavours on your palette, and particularly annoying was the fibrous bits of ginger. It's really weird all the reviews said good things about the crab soup yet no one bothered to attach a picture. Razor clam rice didn't use good enough razor clams. The rice was mild, so it really required the razor clams to be sweet to add flavour to the dish. Unfortunately, they were bitter and not the freshest, so the dish failed. The mild rice on its own was pleasant, although the grains were a little undercooked for a stew dish like this. For a dish that's soft, the tomato seeds with its bite really didn't work The chocolate mousse was absolutely fantastic. It matches up to the best Parisian versions I've had. Very sticky, rich, slightly sweet and the chocolateyness was there too. Because it's rich, I had to sip on water between spoonfuls, and also it gets a bit too much near the end, so best to share it. 3 stars if not for the flawless chocolate mousse. This is a place that does unique Portuguese dishes not easily found elsewhere, unfortunately despite the good ideas the execution/ingredients selection are not up to par for them to shine. The prices are very reasonable though, so maybe I should not have evaluated them as an elevated restaurant. 3 courses for 30€ Also, Easter weekend sat at 8pm and there's only 3 tables at any time, I wonder why?

Yummy food! Good service! We were in the area and decided to check out this restaurant. We ordered pork cheeks with mashed potatoes and fried horse mackerel with tomato rice. The horse mackerel was the dish of the day. For drinks we had tília tea and abatanado coffee which was strong and nicely bitter. Not forgetting the chicken rissol which was delicious. An impromptu visit that serves us well. We are back again to try the Sliced Pig's Liver and Prawn Açorda. Thanks, Chef Zé for your recommendations, for specially whipping up the pig's liver dish and showing me the right way to eat the Gambas de Açorda dish with a touch of spiciness. It was super yummy and the portion was just right.

Excellence at Cacué ! Cacué’s dinning experience is fantastic, both on food and service. The level of execution of their plates is fenomenal. One jewel of the kitchen is the King Crab soup, simply SPECTACULAR. Its deep aromas, complexity and layers of flavor will make you want a second one or third. Regarding desserts, their chocolate mousse is delicious, wih a rich and intense flavor. And the “flan” is unique, silky smooth and creamy. Regarding service, Helena and Pedro were excellent. Very attentive, responsive and sympathetic. Recognition needs to be given to Chef Jose, his establishment is of superb quality. We wish him the best of luck on Cacué II.

The food here is above other places for sure. They have good options and the atmosphere is fun and light hearted. The lights turned out but they improvised so apologies for no pictures. They also brought out some kind of sheep cheese that was heavenly with the bread.

Just a great night with good food enjoying Portugal.

Edit: I had to edit my post after reading other reviews but I can’t believe how stupid people are, if you did any research about the country you were visiting you would know the bread, cheese, and olives is something every restaurant does, if you don’t want to pay for it then turn it away.

Again, I can’t believe how stupid people are, you should not...
