In a high point, in this view point at the north top of the park, we can have a good view over the main roundabout of Lisbon "Marquês de Pombal" where his statue is located. Further down to the south, there is another famous part of Lisbon, "Avenida da liberdade," that conducts us to the city centre. Far at the end of this view we can also see the river "Tejo". Parque Eduardo VI itself is one of the largest parks inside the city centre, and it was built on the first half of the XX century. Every year receives the "Feira do livro" on both wide sidewalks on the side of the park. Recently, an enormous national flag was placed at the top of the park in the middle of the 2 obelisks from the viewpoint.
