My visit to the Observation Deck at Parque Eduardo VII was nothing short of spectacular. Located at the highest point of the park, this vantage point offers an unparalleled panoramic view of Lisbon's breathtaking skyline.

Upon reaching the observation deck, I was immediately captivated by the stunning vistas that stretched out before me. From the historic rooftops of the Alfama district to the glittering waters of the Tagus River, every angle offered a new perspective on the beauty of the city.

The viewing platform itself was well-designed, with ample space for visitors to take in the scenery without feeling crowded. I spent a considerable amount of time here, snapping photos and simply marveling at the sight before me.

What truly stood out to me was the sense of serenity that permeated the air. Despite being in the heart of a bustling city, the observation deck provided a peaceful oasis where I could truly immerse myself in the moment and appreciate the beauty of my surroundings.

Overall, my experience at the Observation Deck at Parque Eduardo VII was unforgettable. Whether you're a tourist looking to capture the perfect snapshot or a local seeking a moment of tranquility, this hidden gem offers an unparalleled view of Lisbon that is not...

Parque Eduardo VII, Lisbon’s largest central park, offers a remarkable observation deck at its northernmost point. From this vantage, visitors are treated to sweeping views that encompass the meticulously manicured gardens, the iconic Marquês de Pombal Square, the elegant Avenida da Liberdade, and extend towards the shimmering Tagus River.

The observation area is marked by a prominent monument dedicated to the Carnation Revolution, designed by João Cutileiro. Adjacent to this monument, the expansive Portuguese flag often waves, adding a patriotic touch to the scenic panorama.

Visitors can access the park via the Marquês de Pombal or Parque metro stations. The ascent through the park’s symmetrical box hedges and tree-lined paths culminates at the observation deck, rewarding guests with unparalleled cityscapes, especially enchanting during sunset.

For those seeking a tranquil retreat with breathtaking views in the heart of Lisbon, the observation deck at Parque Eduardo VII stands as a must-visit...

In a high point, in this view point at the north top of the park, we can have a good view over the main roundabout of Lisbon "Marquês de Pombal" where his statue is located. Further down to the south, there is another famous part of Lisbon, "Avenida da liberdade," that conducts us to the city centre. Far at the end of this view we can also see the river "Tejo". Parque Eduardo VI itself is one of the largest parks inside the city centre, and it was built on the first half of the XX century. Every year receives the "Feira do livro" on both wide sidewalks on the side of the park. Recently, an enormous national flag was placed at the top of the park in the middle of the 2 obelisks from the viewpoint. On the north of the park, you can also find another green space, the "Jardim da Amália" in honour to the known fadista...

Stunning green space overlooking Lisbon. Worth the fairly steep gradual walk up to the top to be rewarded with fabulous views. Sightseeing tour buses do stop at the top too by the deck/fountain. There are a few cafes dotted around the park too for a quick snack/drink. I didn’t see any toilet facilities in the park but presume the cafes may do, but you may have to be a customer to use their facilities. Perfect spot for a quick escape of the hustle & bustle with many people walking/jogging or just watching the walk go by. There is a renowned book fair held here and at Christmas it transforms into a Winter Wonderland festival, so look out for those. As you’re looking down the park from the top, the right hand side did have some repairs to the footpath going on when I was there (Nov 2021).
