Milkees - Specialty Coffee & Cookies — Restaurant in Lisbon

Overall: Mixed bag. Some things are delicious, others not so much.

The coffee was amazing and the croissant was exceptional.

My Banana-Strawberry-yoghurt smoothie was yummy. however my BLT was soggy, the lettuce and tomatoe was definitely not fresh, the bacon was unsavory and the whole sandwich was soggy and unpleasant. The bread was okay, but soft and it didn't help with the soggy lettuce, tomato & bacon.

2 other meals were ordered by our party as well: Avo Ovo Bagel: the scrambled eggs were luke-warm and generally a disappointment. The olive oil couldn't be tasted at all.The bagel wasn't anything special and also more of a disappointment.

Milkees Specialty Coffee in Lisbon is a quiet standout—thoughtful coffee, warm service, and a vibe that makes you want to pause and stay a while. We ordered two flat whites, both smooth and balanced with just the right touch of brightness. You can tell the baristas care about the craft, and it shows in every sip.

We also had their Nutella berry toast, which was exactly what you’d hope for—crispy sourdough layered with a generous spread of Nutella, fresh berries, and just enough sweetness to feel like a treat without being over the top. The dark chocolate chip cookie with sea salt was rich, chewy, and perfectly finished with a bit of crunch and contrast.

At Milkees you get good specialty coffee and you can sit outside as well as inside very well. I can also highly recommend the cookies. As a point of criticism I see the very high surcharge for oat milk. I think 60 cents here is already very much and exceed by far the additional costs of oat milk. I can understand that oat milk is not yet so popular in Portugal, but you should still begin to adjust the milk prices of regular and oat milk. Positively, however, I would like to emphasize that it is Oatly oat milk. Unfortunately, I must also say that the roasting has not quite convinced me, but that is also a matter of taste.
