What a little gem!! Discovered through reading reviews of great coffee breakfast stops en route to a close by cooking course location, and not disappointed. Also just round the corner a fabulous shot of the April 25 Bridge and The Sanctuary of Christ the King monument. Positioned on an inauspicious corner a few tables for two are dotted outside on the pavement but our party of six was ideally catered for inside on comfy banquettes under the stunning locally painted picture. Super quick service and incredible tasty food- large portions too! The owner and those serving very friendly with a sense of humour, coffee menu above the door, useful to remind you what goes into each coffee, and top marks for them for catering to those who want oat milk. Can recommend the Eggs Social - didn’t know what ‘labneh’ was but it’s delicious!, Shakahuka also a hit as well as the Avo Toast! If you want to discover this area - visit this tiny...
Read moreWonderful dishes, Great service! We ordered Social Nicois - fresh tuna, The Heart Platter - Smoked Salmon, Social Tacos, Grilled Eggplant Mousakhan and Lebanese Hummus with Toasted bread. The dishes were yummy especially the Lebanese Hummus and the Grilled Eggplant, We were introduced by their regular customers to the cafe's secret coffee spiced with cloves and cardamons. It was very special indeed. Though the ambiance is not so ideal due to its limited space, the atmosphere is welcoming. The female server was helpful and her regular customers were also very forthcoming and welcoming. We had an interesting conversation with both Joe and Gonzalo, the cafe's regular customers, throughout our time there. Thank you very much for making us feel at home at the cafe. We will definitely be patronising...
Read moreOne of my favorite places in Lisbon - I am even afraid to write this because I don’t wait it to be overcrowded with tourists that make me get a reservation weeks in advance to satisfy my cravings of hummus. Authentic Lebanese food, by the nicest, warmest and wittiest human (also Lebanese) and with great Lebanese wine and beer. All dishes are absolute perfection, from their mouth-watering baba ganoush to the perfectly-balanced falafel, with a nice crunch on the outside and the creamiest, most fulfilling inside. You simply cannot go wrong whatever you choose. The best part is definitely the service and atmosphere that make you feel at home, in true Lebanese fashion. Oh, and don’t forget to order the baklava - if you’re too full, take a slice to go -...
