Whenever I am in Portugal, I make sure to stop by O Melhor Croissant da Minha Rua ("The Best Croissant on My Street"). This bakery sells only one thing, but they do it incredibly well: Portuguese croissants. The croissants have a slightly sweet outer layer and are dusted with powdered sugar. They can be filled with a variety of sweet and savory toppings. This time, we tried one with doce de morango (strawberry jam) and one with salmon, and both were perfect.
However, be aware that they can sell out quickly. We have been there a few times when they have run out of croissants, and it can take up to half an hour for a new batch to be ready. If you plan to take them to go, they come in a cardboard box to prevent them from getting squished.
What's more, the prices at O Melhor Croissant da Minha Rua are very reasonable, ranging from €1.70 to €4.40 depending on the filling. This makes it an excellent option for a quick and affordable breakfast or snack while exploring the city. The quality of the croissants is definitely worth the price and the limited options ensure that each croissant is made to perfection.
Overall, I highly recommend O Melhor Croissant da Minha Rua for anyone looking for a delicious breakfast or snack in Portugal. The croissants are truly exceptional and the variety of fillings means there's something for everyone. Don't miss this gem if you're...
Read moreI recently visited o melhor Croissant Alameda, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.
The service was another letdown. The staff seemed uninterested and unfriendly, making the entire experience feel unwelcoming. To make matters worse, the café itself was poorly maintained—tables were dirty, and the overall atmosphere was chaotic and far from relaxing.
Considering the high prices, I expected much better quality and service. I won’t be returning, nor would I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good pastry or a pleasant...
Read moreThis place is amazing for a quick and delicious breakfast, we visited three days in a row during our stay in Lisbon :). The croissants were always fresh and also the coffee was good (not the best, but we enjoyed it) and I especially loved the Kinder bueno cream. The staff was very kind and friendly. The only weird thing is that when you get a savoury version croissant (eg. with ham and cheese), the croissant itself is still sweet - glazed on top and sprinkeled with sugar. I would prefer if non sweet croissants were used for the...
