I received a recommendation about this place form my friend as the place with meat on the hot stones. So I looked forward to eat in here. Well, I was pretty satisfied with my experience but I will not come again. Place is traditional Portuguese restaurant with nice atmosphere but I don’t understand why they have no music for background. Anyway, I was sited fast and the waiter tried his best to speak English to me (unfortunately my Portuguese is not that good but I do love local food). I was surprised with appetizers - I used that olives served with olive oil, garlic and herbs. Here there were just marinated oils from the can without any spices. Well, it is fine. Oysters looked big and seemed fresh. But again - usually on kitchen they separate the oyster from the shell, but here I had a hard time to unstick the oyster and did it with normal fork. Plus fresh oysters in restaurants are around 2-3€ each, here I payed 11€ for 3, so it is over the price even in the city center. Main dish was the beef steak on grill with bacon and potato. First - I didn’t feel any smell from meat, you know, usually grilled steak smells really strong and good. There were no smell, and how I discovered - no taste. I literally asked the waiter to bring me salt and garlic, because meat had to taste at all. It was juicy and fresh, but I was surprised how plain it tasted. Well, potatoes tasted better than steak! Also potatoes were just boiled. Again, I used in other Portuguese restaurants they serve potatoes which were boiled and later baked with garlic and olive oil. These side didn’t have anything, just boiled with no spices. Potatoes itself were tasty, but I had to add oil and garlic by myself. So I was confused, that the food seemed good but wasn’t satisfying. The dessert actually was good - milk soufflé with crushed cookies. I like it. But anyway. Portuguese cuisine is very flavorful and I was surprised that this restaurant was so full of people, with decent, even but higher than average prices served food so plain. Not my best choice so far. I am glad I have tried, but don’t recommend to...

Another very good typical portuguese restaurant. This one in the pleasent Benfica neighbourhood.

The food in general reveals good quality, the space is nice and it offers the possibility of a late dinner since it is open later than usualy for this type of business.

You will find a very diversified offer that goes from seafood to high quality meat. Always delivered in generous portions with a very competitive price.

Altough it is a big building usualy is very busy and sometimes you night struggle to find a table if no reservation is done.

If you want to have a relaxed dinner without the demandings of a more posh place but with proper food, or if you want to see in one of the many tv's in the space a football match and eating some tasty portuguese tapas and snacks, this is a place to have on your shortlist.

One final heads up...parking a car close can be...

A typical Portuguese restaurant with a focus on traditional fare. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would eventually consider returning. 4.5/5 Food: Classic "granny's kitchen" dishes, hearty and flavorful. We ordered roasted goatling (cabritinho assado no forno). 3.0/5 Service: The staff could be more attentive and welcoming. A Coca-Cola we ordered was forgotten and only served at the end of the meal after a reminder. Unfortunately, the staff appeared disengaged, with rather unsympathetic attitudes. 3.5/5 Atmosphere: Pleasant but overly noisy. The seating arrangement leaves little room for privacy, with tables placed uncomfortably close together, just 20 centimeters away.
