It’s the first review I’m writing on Google, got this shocked today. So I eaten food at this place. Then I went inside to buy something to drink on the go and purchased kombucha, after I bought it, I asked to open a bottle for me, it was very gassy, liquid started coming out, so I asked to put it in the glass so I drink it here, a girl was explaining to me that she can’t give me a glass, when I haven’t even left my table where I was sitting, and I just went to my table, an angry lady came out and started screaming at me, pointing a finger at menu, saying that I have purchased it as take away and I can’t drink it at table, because I paid a different price (I think 40 cents less?), saying she doesn’t have time and I can’t drink it here. I asked her to come down and she asked me to leave. By the way 4 out of 6 tables outside around were empty. So dear angry lady, it’s possible to come to customer and say: “I’m sorry, you need to pay these cents to drink this drink at table where you have just eaten food, sorry for misunderstanding.” Instead of behaving like a psychotic, making me shocked and sad about you, spoiling your mood and attempt to spoil mine (sorry did not happen). Opposite, I felt like I have been carefully planning to scam her for 40 cents to avoid paying cafe vs grocery store price and it made me laugh. Dear prospective customers, make sure you don’t change your mind when you buy a bottle of kumbucha for take away and decide to drink it there. Unforgettable experience. Thanks, haven’t been screamed and...
Read moreI have been living in the Santos area for five years, so I frequent FOOD quite often because I am a fan of the workspace. The staff has always been excellent, always friendly and polite, and the food had always been on point whenever I visited. However, this time my experience was quite sad and disappointing, and this serves as a wake-up call to the managers and owners of the brand. I went for a Caesar salad and asked if the dressing contained anchovies, to my surprise, none of the employees knew whether the dressing had anchovies or not; one even asked me, "What are anchovies?" However, eventually, a diligent girl asked the cook, who confirmed that it had. Another issue arose when the salad arrived at the table and I tasted it. The chicken in the Caesar salad was seasoned and marinated with probably curry and garam masala, which was ultimately disappointing because it is universally known that the chicken in a Caesar Salad should not be paired with such strong spices since the dressing itself enhances the flavor of the dish. I assume this is a general situation across the country since the low salaries offered do not allow for hiring better-trained staff/chef because knowledge and preparation comes with a cost, as I ended up paying 13 euros for a dish of lettuce that was far from being a...
Read moreI have been to this place a few times, but stopped going because of long waiting and poor quality control (same dish that I loved the first time I tried, was under-cooked, lacked sauce or even some ingredients, etc.) but today my mother had a coffee there with my brother and coffee (that was supposed to be alternative milk btw) was regular and expired (so much it curdled in her coffee cup). I like the concept of this place, but they clearly lack in good management.
ADD: Yeah, that response just proves lack of good management in this place. Instead of getting in touch to learn when this happened to identify the problem (could easily be poor storage or human error, invoices are not everything (could also be a mistake by the supplier itself) as any good manager would know and my mother has a professional HoReCa school, so I trust her experience completely). Changing my rating to one star from two stars and will not visit again because they clearly will not try to do better next...
