So. Good.
Went here on our trip to Lisbon as it was recommended by a few people and we follow them on Instagram so we decided to give it a shot. Their food looked amazing in pictures but it does not do it justice. The food here is amazing.
Stopped by for brunch one day and dinner the next and everything hit.
Brunch: Carnitas eggs Benedict: absolutely stunning as a dish. The carnitas are so well prepared, being a huge fan of mexican food, and traveled to Mexico a few times I can honestly say these Carintas are one of the best outside of Mexico. The flavours are so robust and you can tell that time was taken to make this beautiful pulled pork. The patched eggs were fantastic, the pop of the yolk is extremely satisfying and the hot sauce hollondaise is the perfect sauce to compliment both the carnitas and the eggs. The bread is a touch too tough but with the carnitas soaking into the bread it was kinda worth it.
Kimchi avocado fried egg: the kimchi does not over power the avocado or the eggs. The meal was extremely well balanced where everything complimented the next ingredient. The bread on this was a little but tougher as it had no liquid soaking nto it and would probably be a bit better if the bread wasn't as toasted or a different bread that compliments the soft toppings.
Dinner:
OG Burgers: unfortunately they had ran out of pickles but that didn't make a difference these burgers were amazing. The char on the burgers along with the seasoning and the carmalized onion was perfect. The cheese was well melted and really added to the burger eating experience as it pulled with every bite. The break does not over power the burger, it is the perfect taste and size to hold the patties and toppings and is exactly what it should be a vehicle to house the flavours. The fries were crispy af and well seasoned and complimented the burgers well. You can tell the amount of care that goes into preparing these burgers because the flavours are there, and the balance in each bite is there. They can seriously make a lot of burger restaurants in and outside of Portugal run for their "first place" burger.
Chocolate chip cookies: amazing, chocolatey, chewy a little salty perfect end to a meal.
Staff: extremely friendly, very attentive and nice. The 2 staff members working today (Tuesday December 3rd 2023) were amazing. One of them makes the pickles and burgers and he was just so nice. They both were honestly and I really appreciate the pride they have in their work.
This was an amazing experience and I would stop by again just to experience it again. Thank you for the wonderful food...
Read moreOff the bat, possibly the best breakfast burrito of my life!
I will elaborate. This was such a beautiful burrito. I was a tiny bit disappointed that it wasn’t cut in half. Then, as I started eating it, I realized that this was by design. The eggs are the hero of this burrito. Maybe it’s because I’m from America (where good eggs are a novelty) then lived in the UK (whose eggs seem glorious when compared to the US variety), then started buying Portuguese eggs (how could I have ever stomached those US monstrosities?!) and then I come here where the eggs are cooked to such perfection, it’s incredible.
Eggs are my favorite food so forgive me that little diatribe. They were made perfectly for this burrito which also features beans (not super sure why they’re described as refried beans on the menu. Maybe I’m ignorant as to what a refried beans is in Portugal. If you’re from the US, it’s whole black beans), some sort of cheddar, avocado and some insanely delicious mayonnaise.
The above describes the veggie burrito but I opted for the meaty which is all of the above plus Spanish chorizo. I cannot recommend it enough. This is not the time/place to count calories, get the meat. It is worth your while.
Drinkwise, I went for OJ which was fine enough and amazingly came with ice cubes.
The staff are super friendly, inviting and efficient. I am highly tempted to go right...

Neighbourhood was once a lovely cafe, with tasty breakfast burritos and good coffee. It was very charming and had an upcoming buzz that still felt authentic. Fast forward to now, it’s become a spot that has clearly forgotten about basic customer service and respect. Upon arrival, the waitress very rudely disregarded us and placed the ‘wait outside’ sign right in front of me without even greeting us or acknowledging us, whilst allowing other customers to just walk in freely despite us all entering the premises at the same time. Her rude attitude was instantly off-putting and frankly, had another waiter who was polite enough to see to us immediately not come then, we would’ve left immediately. Nevertheless, we decided to still give it the benefit of the doubt and ordered some coffees and left - the coffee tasted very bad and I even binned it. More importantly the customer service stank, which for me ruined the overall memories I had of this place.
I was honestly surprised and repulsed by how rude this place has become - they have evidently forgotten the importance of basic customer service and clearly seem to care more about being hipster and instagrable than caring about looking after their customers - don’t waste your money in a place that doesn’t...
