Overall impression: Does not at all live up to its name or at least the standards of a superior Italian restaurant concerning service and most important quality of food. I won‘t go there again and it cannot be recommended as they seem to be unable to correct their problems (see other reviews). Details: We (4 Adults) had planned to make Jamie’s Italian a special treat for our last night in Lisbon. Unfortunately it worked out to be special in different ways: When we arrived we were told our reservation had not been marked for inside seating, so we had to sit outside although we pointed out, that we were not properly dressed for it and freezing (there had been rain a few hours before). Besides the outside only has a view but no cozy atmosphere, everything is bare and basic there. Obviously cleanup after rain had not happened in the hours before our arrival so we had to struggle not only with the uncomfortable temperature but with wet seat cushions and noisy cleanup. That took its time and after some lame excuses for the hassles of seating outside came the next excuses for not taking our orders timely. We ordered cocktails, starters and main courses. The strawberry martini was very nice and so were the chicken wings. The much praised garlic bread did however not meet our expectations, as it was rather dry and the herb butter coming with it was nothing special, not even a distinct taste of garlic. When our cocktails where finished there was no way to order new beverages before the main courses arrived. The service was too busy with the full restaurant. We had four different main courses: Tagliatelle carbonara, which were really tasty but not above the quality of any good Italian restaurant Prawn linguine, which were also tasty as in any good Italian restaurant, only the linguine were not cooked to perfection, as they were a tad too „al dente“ A medium rare rib-eye steak which was unfortunately served „bloody rare“. When we pointed this out, it was taken away without comment and excuse and returned a little later medium done… I was very much looking forward to the oxtail lasagne as I love the texture and taste of slow cooked meat as opposed to minced meat. Unfortunately the lasagne arrived at the table so cold, that I could hold the stone bowl in my bare palms. It was at best lukewarm which is unforgivable when you expect a sizzling lasagne. When I pointed this out, the lasagne was reheated resulting in a somehow „overbaked“ dish (see pic) which deteriorated the flavor. I had to eat alone as everybody else had finished the main course by then and when the service realized this I did at least not have to pay for it. In the end we still paid around 100 Euros for leaving this place quickly and unhappy after the main course.

Returned to this restaurant very recently after a long while, and as someone who had the pleasure to go to the inauguration of this restaurant, I feel like I had a good base of comparison to the original Jamie's Italian and the Jamie's Italian of today. Unfortunately in my opinion the restaurant in terms of their food options and the dishes themselves, has dropped quite a bit in quality since the opening. It is still a good restaurant, with an awesome and friendly service, the atmosphere is also great like before. The menu has changed quite a bit, and the meat options are now almost non existent and banal. The fantastic Lamb Chomp's are gone and the Steak is no longer a proper premium selected cut and is near half the size of before, as clearly shown by my picture where the steak is not only thin, but also not cut correctly and full of unrendered fat. The entree's in this restaurant used to be special and different, even within the known, as for example the Fried Squid, which used to come presented in lettuce and was fried baby squid with the tentacles giving it an extra crunch, now it's just plain fried squid you can find anywhere else. At the end of the day it is still a good restaurant and a nice experience overall with a reasonable price, but for me personally, I much prefer the original Menu and how differently it approached many of the known dishes.

OMG! I truly LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant. They made me feel so special, as I continued my birthday celebration. I came to eat here every day that I was in Lisbon. Everything about this place is simply beautiful and wonderful, from the warmth of the ENTIRE staff to the delicious food and service I daily received. To my friend and brother Kaique and to my darling Nisha J, it was GREAT to have met you both. Most of all, I thank you for your kindness. I shall never forget the precious moment of having talked with both of you. To my precious darling Neusa, you were the unforgettably beautiful face that I first encountered coming through the door. You welcomed me and allowed me to sit and eat at the bar, even though I didn't have a reservation. I love you for being so kind and so warm. You are absolutely beautiful inside and out, and I'm honored to have met you. I truly hope our paths cross again in the future. I love you all, and thanks again for making my weekend stay in Lisbon a very special and memorable one. Amor, para sempre, do fundo do meu coração...Kevin C. Woods ❤️💛💗

We visited for my girlfriends birthday and ordered a 2 starters that we said we would share one being a meat board and the other being chicken wings. The meat board arrived butthe wings did not, we eventually finished the meat board after waiting for the wings. Before clearing the board after a while we eventually get brought you mains, when we mentioned the chicken wings he came back and told us the kitchen doesn't get told when to bring the food out so it all comes at once and tries to bring our wings out along side our main after we specified they were being charged with the meat board as a starter as we didnt want to eat the wings and leave our mains to go cold we hed to return them which was met with some distaste. We also asked out server when ordering my burger for my main that i would like it cooked medium rare and the server acknowledged and agreed. When the burger came out it was extremely over cooked even for normal standards never mind medium rare! I then said to the server who said that's how the burger comes theres nothing I can do which I said that I specifically asked for medical rare and you agreed before hand, he goes to get his manager to tell me that it's not allowed under portugese law to serve a burger medium rare which would have been okay if he mentioned that when I was ordering so I could have picked something else not when my girlfriend already has her food and she doesnt like to make a fuss at the best of times never mind her birthday. I would not reccomend this resturant at all service and food are of very low standard you are just paying...

A real letdown, and disappointed on many of the items ordered. Started with drink orders which did not go smoothly (had to explain which "margarita" on the menu (drink vs. pizza; and yes we were ordering drinks to start). Pleasant servers, but fairly clueless all the way around. Had to not only ask for serving utensils for shared starters, but after waiting five minutes had to get up and ask someone in the serving area to please bring them, along with previously requested pepper and parmesan for one of the dishes. Lackluster for sure. Honestly, the worst Carbonara ever tasted (two of us ordered). It was a pile of seized, flavorless pasta with cream (should not have cream at all). Had absolutely no egg nor Pecorino Romano flavor (very traditional dish, and disappointed at best). Two dishes served were good, but 50% rate of good to bad is not acceptable. The waitress had to ask us to point everything out on the menu due to a new ordering system, and when asked if she had just started, she said she had worked there for five years!!! Would not go back and would not recommend. Reminded us of a super-packed, mediocre eatery that was there to serve a lot of tourists. We live in Portugal and thought it would be a nice change of pace from many other nearby restaurants. Boy were we wrong :-( Don't waste your money or your time. Much better...
