Recently, my boyfriend and I had the pleasure of dining at O Prego da Peixaria for the first time, and we were thoroughly impressed. The food was simply amazing - the flavors were exquisite and the freshness of the ingredients shone through in every bite. We found the prices to be reasonable and felt that it was definitely worth it for the quality of the food. It wasn't overly expensive, which made it even more appealing.

Always an option. The experience here is always ok. Staff is friendly, informed and helpful, but they tend to go a bit overboard sometimes. The mood is very cosmopolitan with very warm and cozy lighting and the room has a great atmosphere with a giant bar in the middle. So this is a good place to hang around with good friends for a nice time before the evening starts. You can sit and just order something from the bar, sit at the bar and grab a quick bite or go full meal here and that is a big plus for this place. The food has an interesting concept but sometimes it falls short. The meat is actually better than the fish which is strange since fish is the concept. However food doesn't seem to be the reason to come here unless you're just hungry and need something to eat. They have a good wine selection but not a lot of help from the staff on that subject. It is a good place to go with the kids, a nice group of friends or just as a couple. It won't impress though so don't do dates or fancy stuff here. It can be a bit noisy at times but I guess that can be a point in their favour. It's one of those things that you have to try at least once. O Prego da Peixaria is a great spot to try a modern take on Portuguese cuisine, the sandwiches are definetivelly not the traditional Portuguese prego. The menu features a variety of 'prego' sandwiches, several fish burgers, and daily specials that put a contemporary twist on classic flavors. Last time I visited, I particularly enjoyed the Bacalhau à Brás.

I also appreciated the variety of breads, the bolo do caco stood out, and they do a great job of matching the bread to each recipe. The accompaniments are also very good, with options like thin-cut or sweet potato fries, and fried onions.
