Popolo — Restaurant in Lisbon

Good atmosphere, nice interior and professional service. I did not try the pizza, but I did try a burger and two deserts. The burger itself is presented well, but the quality is mediocre.my burger was 10.40€. Unlike other burger places, popolo does not offer the 'rare, medium, cooked' option. All burgers are more or less cooked medium. Also, the burger does not have a sauce, but you can add garlic or barbecue sauce from the fries that come with the meal. The best part about my visit was the desert. Both, brownie/vanilla ice cream (5.50€) and apple crumble/vanilla ice cream/raspberry marmalade (5.50€) tasted really good. To be honest, I will probably not come back for a burger. There are way better options for the same...

It is one of that places that seems to be a safe bet when your thinking on a nice meal that swrves all tastes. The idea of not overcomplicated the menu and keeping the cooking clean and simple betting on nice flavours seems to work. The place is well decorated and based in a good location with outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and efficient.

I don't feel that this place runs to a wannabe more than a proper restaurant place but bets on being a quality place. For that reason it is a clear 4 and not 5 witch a save usually for outstanding places.

I will only trow the 5 to the one of the 2 amazing sauces that come with the fries...please try the curry based sauce...what an...

Horrible food experience! The carbonara had an awfull consistency and flavor. Tried the salad from a friend and we had to take it back cause of the awfull strong sour flavour. Unforgivable. The cola was brought with no gas 10 minutes before the food. The price is unforgivable having in account the awfull food I have tried... The pizza was very subpar. Had better at pizza hut. And the burger was tiny, badly built and with a raw egg on top. The lettuce was like a tree trunk and I had half of a small potato as chip's... I have had McDonald's burgers way tastier, with more than double of the food for 1 third of the price. Will never come back again... So many better places...
