SUSHIGIRO — Restaurant in Lisbon

Let me start by saying the food isn’t bad. I’d be a liar if I said it was. But the service here was atrocious. The old woman serving tables was literally the rudest, laziest, and most unwelcoming server I’ve ever experienced in my life. She literally didn’t want to work and bossed around her male brazilian colleague endlessly. When I ordered a second round of beers, she literally took my half filled cup with beer left because she “doesn’t like her tables with too many cups on it.” She would literally look with disappointment when asked for basic things like more napkins or wasabi. My Chinese girlfriend thought me a valuable lesson. Never eat at an “Asian” restaurant with not one Asian employee. They advertise an “all-you-can-eat” for around 15 euros a person. But this promotion is really an “all they want to serve you.” They don’t provide a menu to choose from, they just bring out bogus fruit filled rolls and start questioning your eating intentions after the first plate. What an incredible experience.

I have tried “all you can eat” sushi from many countries and this was by far the best quality, taste and presentation I have seen.

The restaurant is a hidden gem by the viewpoint of Santa do Monte, a huge touristic attraction in Lisbon.

We came in around 12 and opted for the option of the AYCE. It was €3 more if you want sushi and sashimi. We weren’t keen on the sashimi and just went with the sushi.

What’s great in here is that unlike other places were the food is just sitting on the counter for hours and you help yourself, here everything is FRESH MADE TO ORDER. You get to select 5 different options per “round”. We were SUPER happy with the taste, the food was just incredible.

To top it all off the wait staff was so kind, attentive and eager to help at any second. Those folks deserve 10 stars.

We can’t wait to come back to Lisbon to eat here again. COME...

It's the best served and tastiest sushi I've ever tried! We've ordered salmon special and there were many different kinds of sushi, rolls and maki, all of them were delicious and fresh, as well as some unusual combinations of salmon and pineapple, salmon and strawberry were great. Highly recommend! It's a really nice place. Even though it took some time to get the sushi, it was really worth it, just take a look at the serving. I was also surprised by the amount of veggies on the side. Just try it out 😜 Also the staff was really welcoming and accommodating, we especially enjoyed communicating with Shoubit who recommended us the menu and drinks. Looking forward to come...
