A small (not so) secret anymore delicious food h(e)aven!
It's a cosy place, some seats by the bar and some small tables, maybe it can host 15-20 people at most. Fortunately, it's now easier to get a reservation, thanks to an online system that replaced the previous Instagram messages, a welcome upgrade. Let's just hope it remains visitable instead of soon overbooked!
We get there on time, there's a small queue by the door, but fear not, they are just preparing the seats so we don't mind waiting for a bit, even less so while enjoying a glass of wine. We sat by the bar, which allowed us to get to know Pete, a gracious host, and get some amazing personal and accurate recommendations. While the foccacia was fluffy yet a bit greasy and the pork neck skewer was alright, everything else was absolutely top notch - the potato terrine, the pumpkin and ricotta lasagna, the fried chicken, the grilled swordfish and its crudo version, memorable and something to go back for! All that paired with some glasses of wine or beer, coffee and dessert for an acceptable and just price tag.
All in all, hope to visit Pete soon. Just please don't ever change what's working so well!
Sorry for the partial photos, sometimes it was too hard to resist and take a pic before tasting it!

Read moreI was really curious to go this place because I had walked by so many times and it looked friendly and cool.
I was disappointed because it wasn't at all what I expected, the service wasn't rude but it wasn't friendly either, they are so blasé and inattentive, it feels like you walk into a place that's too cool and no one cares.
We got our first order before someone even asked us what we wanted for drinks and when we asked for the wine menu we discovered the wine menu was the sommelier himself, so no actual menu, just someone suggesting wines.
This is fine, but I wish they told us the price range ahead, but instead I had to ask how much was the wine he was suggesting, only to find out it was a 50€ bottle. I had to tell him that I was hoping to spend a little less and this whole interaction is just uncomfortable and unnecessary.
We also discovered their wine list starts at 36€ and the glass starts at 7€ which unfortunately seems to a be a trend in this area. It's elitist and tacky in my opinion, blatantly pricing out locals.
Anyway it's their establishment and their choice, as is my choice to not recommend this place nor go back.

Read moreThis is really tough. On the one hand you have friendly staff a good vibe a good selection of vines as well as an intriguing menu… on the other hand well it is hard to describe but something was missing with every dish we had that is not to say that every dish was bad but that something was either off or missing from everything The potato terrine was too salty The tartar was too rough and chunky The beetroot was interesting but ultimately somewhat forgettable and the blueberry focaccia has more something of a blueberry brownie than a focaccia the olive oil and anchovies are also just that olive oil in anchovies that are still cold fresh out of a glass instead of maybe anchovies that were dissolved in olive oil The ravioli were the best part but where the terrine was having too much salt they were missing it The coconut cake was genuinely nice tho These three stars are not condemning but motivational This place really has GREAT potential because while there was missing something with everything only small adjustments have to be made (at many parts) for it...
