Unfortunately - I cannot recommend this place for multiple different reasons. At first, it began pleasant, but it turned unpleasant. Usually, I have great experiences with apartments and airbnbs but this is not on of them and I want to make sure people are aware.
I would absolutely not recommend this place for families, this place is good for young people who want to party and make a lot of noise.
There were a lot of noise and parties that happened, especially one night in which the party above was banging on the ground and with loud music and woke us all up from 4am onwards. I came here with my family with young kids, and this was incredibly unpleasant. The owners did not contact me back after I called them at 5am until 6:30am and all they did was apologize and that it would not happen the next day. They did not try to compensate, or to provide any good hospitality and the apology over text message was not good enough.
On top of this, on the last day, we put our luggage in the storage room and they made a big deal that we should put it in the lounge, and not the storage room, to create room for the people coming in. And the owner was incredibly unpleasant especially as a customer that was already aggravated from their service. When my family arrived early, they put their luggage in the lounge and not in the storage room. Therefore - their arguments did not make sense, and on top of that they should try to be kind and nice to people who were already upset and angry over the noise and party that caused our entire family of 11 to wake up at 5am.

Read moreWe booked this location via Airbnb for a company retreat, but had to cancel immediately after receiving the property address and researching the location and seeing other reviews on Google. When we raised concerns, the host admitted in writing:
"In Winter time could appear some mold because the wet weather and the condensation in closed Space, as in any other city located close to the sea and river. Everytime we had discover this situation was solved."
This admission of recurring mold issues was never disclosed in any booking platform listing. As a corporate client, we could not risk exposure to environments with documented mold problems.
Timeline: We received the address on May 19th, raised concerns the same day, but the host refused cancellation despite having over two weeks before our June 3rd check-in to rebook the property. The host refused to refund our money, which was disappointing. We had to secure alternative accommodations at significant additional cost.
The property may be fine for some guests, but anyone with respiratory sensitivities, corporate groups with liability concerns, or families with health conditions should be aware of the above.

When we checked in to their apartment at R. José Estêvão 19A, we found that the apartment was not cleaned at all, there was dust everywhere, the wardrobe smelled of mold and there were swarms of ants crawling all over the apartment! After we complained to the owners about this state of the property, they obviously scared of a bad review from us on Booking, simply CANCELED OUR 5 DAY BOOKING instead of apologizing and trying to make amends! Moreover, before this decision, they did not even consult with us and simply confronted us with the fact that we must leave the apartment by morning! We were forced to find a new accommodation for the following days in Lisbon as a matter of urgency that same evening, in the middle of the summer season.
