How blessed are we to have Zaytouna in Cascais! Previously I would have to drive to Lisbon to their other location to enjoy an amazing lunch, but no more. In fact, as good as the Lisbon location is, I feel their Cascais location has the upper hand, especially with the different dishes they offer and the most humble owner, Katerina running this place. On our most recent visit, Katerina suggested we start with the lentil soup and the chicken liver appetizer with pomegranate molasses and so glad she did as both dishes were as if grandma made it. We continued our delish exploration with the falafel wrap and finished off lunch with their kanafa dessert along with a cafe infused with cardamom. Everything was just delicious and very fairly priced. We found Katerina so welcoming, warm and just downright helpful in every way. In fact, so helpful she went as far as referring a doctor she’s been happy with to my wife and gave us her personal number to call anytime with anything we need help with. Portugal is just so special and people like Katerina makes us feel so...

Has some really tasty easy to prepare middle eastern food. The choices are good to enjoy as you sit and talk with friends. I was disappointed with the lemonade as there was no mint leaves like the others as shown on photos here in Google maps. The people running the entire place were all friendly and accommodating. There’s a really good variety of arabic ingredients and food. I just find the prices quite high for their grocery items. I believe this is the most accessible and best located arabic supermarket in Lisbon. I love it that they also provide free wifi. They just need to monitor it sometimes that it’s not working. A simple router restart can probably help. Overall experience was good...

Zeytouna is an absolute gem! Everything about this place feels warm and welcoming—from the friendly owners and staff to the cozy atmosphere. It’s not just a spot to grab a bite; they also have a lovely shop where you can pick up everything you need to make delicious Levantine food at home.

Their food is made with real care and expertise. You must try the chicken or Sujok sandwich—seriously, they’re out of this world! If you’re looking for something vegetarian, the falafel is fantastic, and the Jenin sandwich (fried veggies wrapped up with spices and tahini) is a flavor bomb....

Lovely cafe and market with delicious food and warm staff. Have had Zaytouna on my list to try. We ordered almost every veg item on the menu and were not disappointed. The hummus and falafel are some of the best Ive had in Lisbon. The Jenin sandwich had beautifully bright flavors and great textures. The tabbouleh was amazingly fresh and I tried fool for the first time. Enjoyed it but thought it could’ve used a pinch of salt. Don’t forget to check out the market for some hard to find items like pomegranate molasses and white vinegar. I will definitely return!
