I recently visited this restaurant and had a bit of a mixed experience. To start, you’re required to put down a £10 deposit, which feels a little off-putting before you’ve even arrived. Once seated, I noticed that the menu is structured in a way where almost everything feels like a micro-transaction — even small swaps, like changing a sauce, aren’t allowed. Prices are very high, and while the dishes were beautifully cooked and genuinely delicious, the portions were disappointingly small. On the positive side, the staff were lovely — very friendly and attentive — and the outdoor seating area, although quite limited in size, is a pleasant spot if you’re lucky enough to get a table. Overall, the food quality is excellent, but the value for money just isn’t there. Unless you don’t mind paying a premium for small portions and a rigid menu, it’s hard to justify a return visit despite the great service.

Excellent experience in all aspects. I wasn't expecting such a Excellent restaurant in a high tourist area. To star, the space is very well decorated with round tables, with a live kitchen and a very romantic aquarium. Then you have live music, not to loud but creates a very pleasent environment. The staff has excellent, didn't bother but at the same time were always present at a moment notice. Then follow the drinks, not overpriced and all excellent and tasty, with a mixture of different flavours. They have a nice wine list and regular cocktails with a fair price. Then the food, it has excellent, a mixture of flavours and diferent types of cousine. The deserts were also a experience, just amazing. Definitely a restaurant I will visit again a strongly recommend.

Went out for a family meal here last night (Saturday). There were 12 of us and they put tables together so we had one big table. Service was impeccable throughout the night from topping up water and wine to being patient with the younger kids. Replaced dropped forks without hesitation and managed to keep the table clear and orderly. The food was delicious. The highlights for me were the gyoza, the pork, the octopus and the beef tartare but strong shouts to the John Dory nuggets and the salmon ceviche. The pacing of the meal was good, we were there about two hours in total. Decor is nice and they have fish tanks with the kids loved looking at between meals. Nice vibe in the place and the owner was friendly. Great place and would highly recommend.

If was a terrible experience because of a single employee. From the beginning I want to say that the food was good (not outstanding, but fair), the waiter was outstanding, the wine he recommended was very good. Prices are relatively low, 40-50 euros per person, for a dinner. But our evening was ruined by the employee who should have been most responsible for the good customer experience: the restaurant's PR, (Joana I think was her name). Me and my family arrived at the table at 20:45 and at 21:55 she told us that in 5 minutes we should leave the table because there is another reservation at 22:00. I have never experienced such a rudeness in my life. We still had almost half a bottle of wine (which was very good). If she had told me from the beginning that we had to finish our lunch in an hour, I would have go to another restaurant. But she didn't say that. Such people should not work in the hospitality industry! It seems unfair that all the good work that a team of professional people does, was turn into a bad customer experience because of a single employee. But the truth is that her rudeness will remain in my memory for a long time, and the good wine, the black angus or the professionalism of the waiter, unfortunately, I will forget them...

Our go to restaurant if we want excellent food, wine and service, and our visit on Sunday 14th May did not disappoint. We started our meal with Chicken and vegetable gyoza and Meat Croquette with dijon mustard emulsion - both delicious.

For our main, we normally order the tuna bowel which is a firm family favourite, but we have eaten so much fish since we arrived in Portugal we thought we would opt for a steak for our main course. As the kitchen is open to view, when we arrived we saw a few of the Entrecôte steaks being cooked. We were advised the Entrecôte which would be a slightly fatty steak and when the fat was rendered down during cooking it would hold all its flavour. The Entrecôte was amazing, full of flavour and it melted in the mouth. We had french fries and the mushroom risotto as a side with a glass of red wine. I would say Salmora is famous for its Apple Tart, served with a yogurt ice cream. A perfect way to finish our meal. Service as always was A1. The red wine came recommend and although i only ordered a glass, the bottle was left table side and was advised to help myself if i wanted more and i would only be charged for what i drank. A great touch.

Cant wait to revisit - We highly recommend...

Not usually one to give a scathing review but tonight was just awful in the experience my wife and I received. Considering it was my birthday (which was mentioned) the food we received was below par. The squid still had the hard membrane inside and we were told that this is the way they cook the squid in Portugal as otherwise the head of the squid will fall off. We were also told that there isn't much they will do about it because "that's the way it is". Then came the "hidden cod". Whilst the flavour lacked any seasoning, I also had to contend with a number of fish bones that were also "hidden" inside the thinly sliced cod. This issue was resolved with it being taken off the bill. Tap water was charged at €3 a bottle because it has been through their water "filter" and we were told it is illegal to give out tap water in Portugal unless it was filtered. Some of the other reviews on here state that you come away feeling swindled and that was definitely the case this evening. There were some aspects that were good and still worth a good review, such as the waiting staff, the beef carpaccio and the mushroom risotto. Just a shame that the manager was very argumentative...
