Ristorante Il Trio — Restaurant in Loulé

Having holidayed in Vilamoura 3 times previously we have only just discovered the back streets of Vilamoura behind the marina where there are some real gems. Il Trio is one of them. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, the shaded decking area is an absolute DELIGHT to sit in on a warm, sunny evening and the food was of a very high standard and very reasonably priced. I had the fish risotto which my son and husband loved so much they demanded that we return the following day so that they could order it for themselves 😂 They have the usual children's menu but are also happy to produce smaller versions of anything on the menu for children which made a nice change from the usual burger, nuggets, pizza options. We are only here for 11 nights but I am certain that we will visit Il Trio for a third time during our holiday. Highly recommended for good quality Itslian food served...

An Italian restaurant tucked behind the marina, was a delightful experience from start to finish. The warm and inviting staff set the perfect tone for the evening, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

Having booked a table in advance, we were grateful as the restaurant quickly filled up, showcasing its popularity. Despite being fully booked, the service remained attentive and personable, with prompt order-taking and timely food delivery.

We were ignored after our order was taken. Over an hour waiting and had to ask for our starters and then had to ask where mains were. The response was that it's always like that on Mondays! Yet everyone around us had their deserts before we got mains. Kids left almost 2 hours waiting for pizza. When it did come out they had obviously forgotten about us and we got undercooked pasta on the side instead of potatoes, the pizzas barely hot.

The prawn starter was great when it finally arrived the rest was forgettable or overshadowed by the lack of service.
