For 25eur you get starters, the ability to choose 2 main dishes, dessert, coffee and all you can drink. I think that it is the overall package that makes it worth it.
You have a bunch of different types of starters like you can see in the picture with the highlight being the amazing prosciutto that is cut in the house, you can see the full prosciutto pieces hanging on the ceiling when you enter. Big generous portions for the starters and lots of variety
The two main dishes we picked were the Vitela with rice and potatoes and the bacalhau à braga, which is essentially codfish with fries and onion. Both of them were great, they won't absolutely blow your mind but still great.
The deserts come with a variety of different typical portuguese pastries.
For drinks you can have beer, wine, sangria, soft drinks and water (might be missing some other option). You can drink as much as you want
Good staff, great atmosphere inside and it is designed for you to have a long dinner. This is not a place you go to have a quick meal. You will stay there at least 2 hours minimum, so keep that in mind.
For the entire package, it is definitely an...

Outstanding authentic Portuguese food with even more outstanding service at a more than fair price.
Restaurante Malheiro is an absolute hidden gem. Located in a quiet and slightly hidden alley opposite a picturesque chapel, within walking distance of the airport and relevant hotels, it offers travelers an oasis of Portuguese way of life. Here, authentic Portuguese food culture is offered in the form of lovingly prepared home-style cooking that is unparalleled. The portions are more than generous (seriously: I've already been banned from all-you-can-eat restaurants and couldn't finish the portion). In addition, we received a great selection of appetizers (freshly baked bread, delicious Portuguese sausage, wonderful ham, etc.). As a main course, the two of us had baked lamb, which honestly no other lamb I've had elsewhere could even come close to. And even my girlfriend, who is rather a picky eater, was absolutely delighted. Finally, we were treated to a perfect crème brûlée and a fine anise liqueur.
The only thing that could top this meal was the absolutely outstanding service. Our waiter was incredibly attentive and professional, as well as friendly and humorous, making it truly a special experience.
I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone with a layover in Porto, and also to any vacationer, to take the time to spend their evening here and catch a magnificent glimpse into the culinary soul of Portugal.
Read moreThe food was great, and the staffs are kind. But when I asked the price which is not included in the Menu (Glass wine), the staff said it’s just small money. He did not give the right or exact answer even I asked 4times. And he still put the new wine bottle on my table even I said I only need 1 glass of wine. but he keeps told me you drink 1 glass, you only pay for 1 glass. I did not get this point. Customer needs to know how much is it before order first. and i don’t understand why he put the bottle on my table . that’s the thing I felt uncomfortable. also, he put the starter and bread around 3kinds of foodon my table after I ordered. I thought the price is included in the main dish. but when I got the receipt, the bread, starter, main dish were all separated. then the owner said if I did not eat, I don’t need to pay. if I knew this explanation in the beginning, it will be much better. coz I already told the staff I only need the small amount of foods bcz I have stomachache....
