Having visited twice during our holiday, late in the evening, we were consistently blown away by the Michelin-star-worthy cuisine and impeccable service. I sincerely hope they earn that star soon—they deserve it! The food is nothing short of phenomenal. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with flavor, while the black garlic pork was a revelation, its rich, umami notes lingering delightfully. Each dish is crafted with such care and creativity, showcasing the finest local ingredients. Dessert was a perfect finale, and the homemade lime liquor offered at the end was a charming, personal touch that elevated the experience. D'Arlete Restaurante is a charming little new gem in Portimão, offering a dining experience that feels like enjoying a meal at a friend's home. Cozy atmosphere, great food and wines, personalized service... makes the visit worth going. With only a few tables, the restaurant ensures attention to detail, serving freshly prepared dishes made from local seasonal ingredients. The modern cuisine respects traditional flavors, and the selection of wines complements the meals perfectly. It's recomended to book in advance due to limited seating. Parking is conveniently located nearby, requiring just a short walk. Take the time to unwind, savor your meal, enjoy a great wine and escape (forget) the daily routine. Just a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is lovely, the decor is immaculate, all of the little details are perfect (even the menus themselves). The host is brilliant, very welcoming and friendly, and she explains all of the dishes to you very well when they’re brought out. The food itself is just sublime, the chef is a magician. The carrot puree with the bread is delicious. For mains we had the Angus steak and the Pork Gnocchi, both of which quickly became two of the best meals we’ve ever eaten. The flavour in the steak is absolutely mesmerising. They were even kind enough to stay open half an hour after close so we could have dessert as we’d landed late, and the Leite Creme is beautiful - perfect crack on the sugar and again incredible flavour.
