Unfortunately I cannot give zero stars!! How this restaurant has received any positive reviews shocks me…very suspect indeed!! I went here with my mother and partner on a Sat night around 20.30. When we arrived there was only one other couple inside so hardly busy (maybe now I know why)!!! After being seated it took 15 mins to take drink order - as such we ordered food at the same time. After another 30 mins (45 from entering) we still had no drinks. When my partner asked the waiter was extremely rude and discourteous, however the drinks arrived a few mins later. The food was another 30 mins to arrive - arriving just as we were about to leave. However not all food arrived, just one plate of 8 sushi. 10/15 mins later the rest of the food began to arrive. To say the quality was not good is an understatement!!!!! The (hot) salmon teriyaki was barely warm and looked as if it had been sat in a hot plate for an hour - it was completely dried out! The sticky rice was overcooked and claggy.

I have eaten in many Japanese restaurants and this is by far the worst ever. The (high & mighty) attitude of the waiter, the (dreadful) service and (horrific) quality of the food were all the worst I have ever encountered!! Avoid this place...

If you're a fan of ramen, I'd recommend exploring other dining options. Unfortunately, the service we received was extremely disappointing. The server appeared disinterested and unhelpful, to the point where it felt like we were inconveniencing them. Strangely, our starters arrived at the end of the meal, and even when we requested the check, we had to wait for a staggering 45 minutes before being able to leave, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy.

On a more positive note, the starters were delicious and provided a glimmer of hope. However, our main course, the pork ramen, left much to be desired. It contained a meager portion of small-batch noodles and just four pieces of pork. The broth seemed to be diluted, as if it had been prepared using a spice packet from instant noodles. Adding to the disappointment, the prices were very high.

All in all, this was one of the most unsatisfactory dining experiences I've ever had, and I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Unless you like to overpay and wait forever for a...

More of a 3.5. We ate here and I got the 20 piece combo and a spicy tuna handroll. My wife got the ebi roll.

I am a big sushi fan and I love food coming from California so when I saw the good reviews here I was excited to have something different than the local cuisine. While the handroll was good and the salmon was fresh and tasty, there were quite a few let downs.

The rice was overcooked and mushy. The tuna did not taste very fresh -more like what I would expect at a sushi to go box at a grocery store. My wife's ebi was tempura shrimp wrapped in a roll with no sauce and was dry. The soy sauce was not salty at all and they put a pungent Italian basil sauce on one of my tuna rolls - it was actually really strange lol. And the ginger did not taste fresh.

Some of the pieces were good some ok and a few were off putting. The service however was excellent. Maybe my california taste buds expect to much for what the locals like? There aren't many Japanese places in Portugal so...

TL;DR Great sushi, nice atmosphere, and excellent customer service. They have all-you-can-eat options. Extended: If only I could give this place a sixth star. Kimushi became my go-to place for many reasons. First of all the sushi is great. Secondly, the atmosphere is nice the place is very chill and quiet, so you can easily have a conversation there. And most importantly, Ismael does a great job serving the tables. He made me feel welcome. Dinner options are great, but in my opinion their all-you-can-eat is the best. If you really want a top-notch all-you-can-eat with quality sushi I would recommend trying it. I ate around 60 pieces and needed an afternoon nap but oh boy I will come back for more soon.

We chose Kimushi from reviews and were so glad we did! They have a lovely courtyard so we could sit outside and our waiter was fantastic. He was very informative about ingredients and offered help in suggesting what we would like best. We chose three items and loved them all though the double hot was our favorite as it had this delicious tempura crust on the outside.
