I parked up in the parking lot and went off hiking up on the cliffs. There are paths that go all over the place so you can explore. But be very careful you can slip off the edges very easily. Be sure only to do this when it is dry and did not rain, because then it will be no fun, trust me. I walked all the way to the next city which is an approximately 4.5 km and kept going. A total of 14 km hike I did in 5:15h with some stops for beer 😃 Between parking in the parking lot is free, but it is very dusty so when you come back, your car will be very dirty. Down at the bottom, you can explore all around on the sandy beaches. There are caves and holes that you can walk through if the water is not too far up. Beware that you don’t get pulled into the ocean. I would recommend this place. Good for people all ages - kids, dogs whatever! There are also some restaurants and some snack bars around by the parking lot so if you’re hungry...
Read morePraia dos Três Irmãos, (the beach of the three sisters, also known as Praia dos Três Hermandos, the beach of the three brothers) is a nice beach. Beautiful views and a reasonable amount of space. It is also the entrance to a much more beautiful beach that is hidden from plain side. The beach Praia da Prainha can be entered by going over some low rock formations (nothing big, even grandma or the children could do it, with a little help). That is a beautiful hidden beach, which is our go-to beach when we visit Praia dos Três Irmãos. Shame that it was completely inaccessible this year because of a large amount of dead algea completly covering the beach. Played some beach volleyball on the beach of the three sisters, eating our lunch at Sol & Sombra and had...
Read moreThis is my favorite beach in the Algarve so far. I haven't been to all of them but enough to say this is at the top. There are so many caves and tunnels to explore. The beaches are sandy and swimmable. There are lots of large rock formations providing shade. Unlike most beautiful beaches with rocky formations, you do not have to walk down a large amount of steps. You simply walk off the boardwalk and you are there. You can pay 2€ to park right at the start of the boardwalk, or you can park for free on the street and walk about 5 minutes to the beach. I counted at least four restaurants. One is built into the side of the cliffs. I highly recommend checking this beach out if you visit...
