What a lovely surprise: To take the unknown path on google maps and land at this site. Sol & Sombra served us exceptionally well cooked fish. The portions were very generous, which, coming from the US, it’s not an understatement. We tried their smoothies, salads, sardines, tamboril, and chicken piri-piri. We should have shared. The prices were reasonable, as expected for a beach side restaurant serving good food. The service was welcoming and accommodating. It took a while to be seated and order, but we had no rush and they had to deal with a lot of people, some not too patient, some not too well mannered, yet, they handled the situations well. We made the mistake of ordering drinks (coffee and Tea) we asked if they did sandwiches, we were told they did not do sandwiches but they did toasted cheese and tomato sandwiches. Drinks arrived, 10-15 minutes later the toasted sandwiches arrived less the tomato!. The table next to us has cheese and ham sandwiches served!. Then tried to pay this took us asking three times for the bill. Paid in cash, had to wait another five minutes to get the change. The staff generally are miserable and surly.
