Trópico Beach Bar — Restaurant in Portimão

Staff was rude to us from beginning to end. Waiter kept leaning over our table to take pictures of other guests that bribed him with 20 EUR to get seats by the window even though they didn't reserve anything, while we were still eating. Really distracting and annoying. Additionally, one of the waiters had a cold and kept making weird sounds with his nose. Once he had to sneeze really badly while carrying food. He tried to sneeze next to the plates. I was still happy that this was not our plates he carried to the tables. Food was overcooked even though we ordered medium. Really disappointing experience. This was our favourite place to eat. We have been here 3 times and every time the food, the service, the atmosphere were incredible. It's a great little spot on the boardwalk between Prainha and Alvor. Perfect for both evening meals and lunch. Big thank you to our waiter Ricardo, who made our experience here even better. Tried this beach restaurant on my last day in Praia do Alvor for lunch. Friendly welcome and the space is divided into tables for drinks and the restaurant. Chose the grilled tuna steak with a green sauce, chips and a small salad. Food arrived promptly and good presentation. For me the tuna was just slightly over cooked but the chips were very good. The green sauce was effectively pesto, only looser. Generous portion....
