Spot3 — Restaurant in Portimão

Despite a decent-looking menu and prices considering the location, we were so ripped off having paid €11.50 for a iced coffee with Baileys, we left straight away.

We ordered two iced coffees (on the menu at €2.50 each) and wanted them with baileys and a dash of vanilla syrup. We were served the smallest sickly “cocktail” with hardly any coffee (if any), a drop of Baileys and tons of syrup.

We asked for exactly the same thing in a bar in Alvor, and at NoSolo which is one of the most expensive venues in the area. Both places took lots of care to make amazing drinks that tasted beyond what we were expecting. And both places charged us €15 for two. Spot 3 charged us €23 for a really poor attempt that was hashed together as quickly as possible.

When I questioned the price with the server he also was confused, seemed very embarrassed and took me to the manager. The manager told me he’d charged as if they were two Espresso Martinis made with Grey Goose vodka. In my opinion this wasn’t quite the same, since it was literally a €2.50 coffee with a shot of Baileys and a little syrup (which the othe places didn't even charge for). And not even made very well.

He said it is what it is, and that was that. No apology, The server apologised on the way out and looked really shameful, the lady who initially served us was friendly enough and they are the only reason I’m not giving this place a 1 star. Definitely won’t be...

Super hyper overpriced. One can of coke (330ml) for 2€. And this wasn’t even the worst part. The menu showed “grilled chicken breast” and what I got served was not even close to it, as you can see from my photos: it was boiled and then “fried” for what seemed like a maximum of 2 minutes, it was flavourless to say the least, drier than Sahara desert. Don’t be fooled of the aspect of the chips, they were cooked in very used-up oil, they tasted like they were two days old. For this tasteless meal I paid 15€ total. They do not even offer wi-fi!! Worst restaurant I have ever been to, they think if they are close to the beach they got the right to charge you a kidney for undercooked...

Great location and views across the beach.

Lots of seating options from 'normal' tables to cushions on the beach. The atmosphere is great and has relaxed vibe.

I have only had drinks, not yet ordered food so I can't comment on that. The drinks I have had were always well made and priced really well.

This visit we had fresh orange juice with olives and bread. This can in just under 9 Euro's which I didn't think was too bad.

I'd recommend Spot 3 as a great place to grab a drink or two whilst...
