The place looks very nice and modern we so we try our luck. However the first impression was the last good impression. Servise is very bad, 4 or 5 different person taking the order and serve. We had waiting for starters over 30 min - melted camemberts. One was ok but second one was overcooked. I requested the new one and waiting another 15 min. Again the cheese was overcooked. The third starter was forgotten, we received after an hour. The main was good but nothing special for that price. And we waiting for main almost 1,5 hour (green curry, grilled squid and steak on stone). We were informed that the steak on stone will take an extra time, however I can’t imagine that heating the stone will take so long as its not my first steak. Few evenings in the row I saw people waiting in the long queue to get the table there and I don’t really get the reason for that I wouldn’t be waiting for table and food in that place. There are much nicer places with cheaper food in Portimão. The place needs improve their system and staff training for sure. I’ll never go back there for sure,...
Read moreWe walked past this restaurant a number of times during our stay and there were always customers dining. On our last night we decided to call in. The person outside was friendly. We were taken to a table and given menus. We ordered - muscles and fish soup for starters. Both tasted lovely but the muscles had not had the beards removed and a few shells had broken and splintered into the sauce. Main course - lasagna (it came with no side salad disappointed) seafood with spaghetti came and this was presented well. Both tasted nice but again there were shards of broken shells in the spaghetti - easily to swallow and cause a scratch in the throat. I ordered a white sangria but it was extremely weak but very cold (which was lovely.) The staff was very attentive but I felt it was a cafe in the daytime but it didn't match up to the standard of a restaurant in the evening. Small fine adjustments to the food would have given more stars. The restaurant is ideally placed for all areas of Praria da Rocha to visit. I just felt a little...
Read moreThe best thing about this restaurant was the view. My wife and I went to this restaurant without checking reviews. There were many people dining in the restaurant when we walked by so we figured it was probably good. The food was extremely dissapointing. We ordered the stone steak that you cook yourself and a fish dish that they supposedly specialized in and both were sub par. The stone steak tastes ok but the cut of the steak was a very cheap cut. You would think that paying €€€ for a steak that it would be a decent cut of meat. I hate to say it but the fish was disgusting. Neither my wife not I could even eat it. It was very over cooked, rubbery and tasted very fishy and off. We had one bite each and then didn't touch it for the rest of the meal. The service and staff were ok. Servers could be more friendly and outgoing but overall not bad service. The view from the restaurant is stunning!! The patio at the back of the restaurant is where we sat and you couldn't have a...
