The Irish Rover — Restaurant in Portimão

Just arrived home after 2 fantastic weeks in Portugal. Our local was the Irish Rover, the staff were fantastic to say the least - Sandra, Darren, David and Maria, thank you all so much once again for looking after us so well and being such lovely outgoing individuals too. The place is so particular in regards to Covid restrictions and precautions, ensuring each and every customer showed their covid passports as well as ensuring the 3 dates as per the Portuguese rules that each customer had taken or took a lateral flow test before entering the premises on the 30th the 31st December as well as the 1st of January too. The entertainment was fabulous too, the dynamics are superb and added to the irish rover experience as well as Alex, the solo singer / guitarist he was brilliant also. Would definitely recommend this bar and restaurant to anyone as the meals are all also to die for and could honestly not fault the place for anything. Once again, thank you to all the staff for making our holiday and a fabulous experience we will not forget....

Great Fun at The Irish Rover – Can’t Wait to Return!

I visited The Irish Rover in Portugal with my sister in September, and we had such fun times! From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. Geraldine is truly the heart of the place, and along with her husband, they create such a lively and friendly atmosphere. They both go out of their way to ensure everyone is having a great time.

The staff were all amazing – hardworking, friendly, and always smiling. It’s clear they love what they do, and their positive energy made our visits even more enjoyable. The live entertainment was also brilliant – funny and very inclusive, creating a lively atmosphere where everyone felt part of the fun.
