Café Cifrão — Restaurant in Porto

My wife and I stopped here the other night after a long day of travel. I'm really glad we did because the food was wonderful. We had the francesinha which was amazing (and we've had many over the years) and the beer was fresh and cold. More importantly the staff were patient with us as we're tourists and our Portuguese is pretty non-existent. We would definitely recommend Café Cifrão to anyone visiting Porto for a awesome local restaurant...

It was one of my first place to eat when I was living close and was coming to eat, when I just came to Porto 3 years ago. And few days ago friends invited me to one place they liked - and took me to same place! Tried francesinha for the 1st time here and can say that it my favourite now, after I tried it in many places for the price twice more!

I don't normally rate places, but I searched quite hard to have a good Francesinha that I felt obliged to share my opinion, especially vs the "best" other options I ve seen written here. Always trust a place where the cook and the waiters are eating and no tourists are present. Good prices, good food...
