We were looking for a good fish restaurant. But because we didn't place a reservation anywhere, we were strolling around. So we found this lovely small restaurant by accident. It was full and there where multiple reservations so we waited 20 minutes outside but were served drinks by the lovely waitress while we were waiting. The food was amazing. Especially the starters. The mussels were incredible and had the best sauce with it we ever had. The fried sardines were also very tasty. As the main course we had grilled octopus which came with salad and potatoes. Very fresh and good quality sea food. A little room for improvement: the octopus could have needed more grill aroma. In total: very good small restaurant, high quality food, lovely waitress. We would definitely recommend to place a reservation.

My partner and I are staying right around the corner and we were searching for a place to get authentic Porto seafood served by locals. We found both at da Bolsa! Our server/host (I wish I had caught her name) was so sweet. I had two non-alcoholic Super Bock’s and she joked that she had to cut me off after two because I was getting too drunk 🤣 It was just us and one other table when we walked in around 7:30pm but by the time we left it was packed and there was a wait. We had the panfried sardines to start and then the sea bass and the seafood rice. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I thought the giant shrimp would be the main act but, honestly, it was all of the seafood together that made it so filling and tasty. Would 100% come back here.

Food was good, but not as stand out as I hoped based on the reviews. The waitress gave me *cold* cod fish cakes (clearly been sitting around for a while) when I sat down that I didn’t order, then charged me for them. When I asked about it, she said I should have told her if I didn’t want them. I thought since they were cold that they were extra just sitting around they wanted to get rid of, though I did just pay for them at the end of the day. I also got the grilled sardines which were good, but the raw garlic on them was a bit much. Mixed salad was lacking - just lettuce, tomato, and far too many raw onions. I’d suggest looking elsewhere for food. Plenty of better places.

The most amazing Portuguese food in the heart of Porto. This is a family run restaurant as authentic as your very own Portuguese mother can make. If you want to try traditional Portuguese food with the most amazing and excellent service and also get to have the freshest fish and octopus. This is the place to come to. Excellent service Everybody got the food in a very timely manner. There was no rush And everyone was clearly enjoying their meal with smiles.

Cannot express how much we have enjoyed this restaurant and we’ve tried probably a dozen restaurants in Porto since we got here a week ago, including restaurants at the beach

This is the place to come to. We advise you to get...
