I had big expectations for the restaurant and when I got there I was surprised at how nice the terrace was. But this was the only good thing about it. We were seated, and the waitress told us she would bring the food menu (we had already the drinks one). It took close to 20 mins for people to come and ask us what we wanted, everytime a waiter would come and bring something for some other table, it seemed like they would purposely not look at us. The first time they even replied to my calling, we got a "be right there" and then just went to the kitchen again. It was always a struggle to have someone come to our table, there were 2 big groups near us and they got 100% of the attention, unless we actually made some noise. We ordered after 30 mins of being seated and then the food took 1h30m to come. For some reason, they decided to serve the 12 people or so group with everything they had ordered, and didn't even bring us some bread. We tried asking them if it was possible for one thing to come to us in between their food, but no luck. So we just watched a table get food for more than 1 hour while we starved. The bread and cheese came after 1 hour and then we had to wait an extra 30 mins. We started eating real food at 23h30. At no point in time did they come and tell us that the food would take more time than usual. When I tried to talk to them, all we got was empty excuses like "the kitchen is small" and "we have a table with a big group". They also said that this group had this table booked for a week, so they should have prepared for this and not screw us over like this. Also, I am pretty sure the kitchen is the same size as it was a week before, so they either need a bigger kitchen or fewer tables. The food itself was fine, a couple things were actually good, but some of the items seemed like they were already cold for some reason, which we didn't tell the staff because it felt useless to actually complain about anything at that time. We won't be coming back because it seemed like noone actually cared about us having a good time, unless we were in...
Read moreThis pub restaurant has a number of quality options for alcoholic drinks. There's numerous pages of cider, mead, craft beer. Not so many non-alcoholic options.
For food there's some tapas. They have galette too. The chips are nice and are spiral shaped. They come with three dips, which we liked. The stewed pork was lovely and warming on a Friday evening in early September when it was not warm outside.
There's a garden area at the top. It's good for groups and parties although the grassy area at the top is a bit dangerous for kids, people with mobility issues and older people.
The decoration inside is Celtic in keeping with the name and theme. It's out of the ordinary with swords, axes and shields etc. They seem to also be fans of Game of Thrones.
We paid €13,80 for 2 juices and a cider and €16,30 for the Batatas bravas de Westeros 3 molhos and the pedacinhos de porco guisado em vinho tinto e farinha de bolota.

Read moreThis was my second visit, and it won't be my last! I traveled from the UK to Porto specifically to experience the authentic atmosphere here, and it’s now at the top of my list for future visits. The flavors, both in the food and drink, are truly inspirational. Jaime is a master at what he does, keeping the Celtic spirit alive with passion. He’s always eager to introduce visitors to a great cider!
My first visit was in October 2023 during a business trip, and I made sure to return in late August 2024 when I had the chance. The combination of the vibrant spirit, warm hospitality, and a touch of history makes this place unbeatable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, hoping to try all the platters! Highly...
