Kardoso restaurante e garrafeira — Restaurant in Porto

My sister and I went to Kardoso around 5.30pm on a Thursday. The restaurant was small but very cozy and well-decorated. The staff were friendly and accommodating, despite our lack of Portuguese. I had their Francesinha (pictured) with egg and it was wonderfully made and delicious. My sister had the shrimp croquettes with chips and salad which was also really nice (we tried bits of each other's of course!). You must visit here with the sweetest little shop/cafe and nicest owners. These little places deserve us popping in, for a 70c coffee and buying a few things not only because it is good value but they deserve our support to keep trading.

Small place with amazing food for a very fair price, managed by an older gentleman who deeply cares about quality and service. If you love meat, and in particular veal, it’s the best place to go.
