A gem of a place, We discovered this traditional Portuguese restaurant by complete serendipity! The place doesn't look like much from outside but inside is a pretty big restaurant with a bar and with a back garden too. The grilled cod was absolutely fresh and delicious. It was served with baked potatoes, capsicum, onions and olives....all very good, and slathered with olive oil. I added a generous sprinkling of salt and chilli 🌶 oil to custumise further :). The portion size was way more than expected. I asked for the half portion (18 euros) and that itself was good for two. I had to pack half of it. The rice and beans (3 euros) was good too...simple but wholesome and delicious. It seems like a very popular place for locals too. Such good food at that extremely reasonable price is like a dream come true! Totally recommend this place!!

The food here is genuinely good, with classic Portuguese flavors and generous portions. We ordered the Bacalhau à Braga, which came in a huge portion easily enough for four. The “arroz de feijão” (bean rice) was also a hit — especially with my son. I also had the “prego no prato”, which was tender, flavorful, and well served. Now for the experience: service is very much in the traditional Portuguese style — short, rushed, and not exactly warm. Our waiter even tried to suggest pricier dishes instead of what we ordered, which felt a bit pushy. The restaurant was hot and stuffy, with no air circulation, which made the meal slightly uncomfortable — likely to save on air conditioning. Overall, come for the food, but don’t expect friendly service or a cozy environment. Just know what you want, stand your ground, and enjoy the flavors.

Churrasqueira Palácio in Porto is an absolute gem! The food was outstanding, with excellent taste, quality, and unbeatable prices. We tried the Posta, Cabrito, and a Vegetarian Burger, and every dish was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made the experience even better. The wine and beer selection was excellent, pairing perfectly with our meals. This is a true local spot where you can enjoy authentic, high-quality food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Porto—don’t miss it!

I travel a lot in Europe and never experienced such an outrageous display of racism in any other places I visited before. On May 16 me and my boyfriend ordered take-away from this place. We waited for half an hour for the grilled fish seeing how other people were served their orders (some the same as ours in a matter of 10 minutes or less). All other customers at these place were Portuguese people. Me and my boyfriend were the only international couple. Person bringing orders to people saw us, but ignored. After half hour I demanded our dish and received it immediately stone cold. I would have never believed such practices are possible in Portugal. I am outraged and completely disgusted with what...
