Very nice restaurant at Porto, at city center, with nice pizzas and nice dinning environment, very well decorated. 7 P analysis: Product: nice restaurants of pizza, we were a group of 4, we shared everything, ordered several startups and 3 different pizzas; Price: medium, around 30 euro per person, and we drunk 2 bottles of wine and water; Promotion: Okra has a nice brand, some okra touch points at the windows, and menu. Can't recall any other, but enough for you to remember the brand. They are from the same group of nice restaurants at Porto called Flow and Mistu. Process: Easy to book, i called and booked from 7.30 to 9.45pm (they have 2 time slots to eat at dinner time), they don't have it at TheFork. Seating process is friendly. Easy to order. The food arrived very fast and the restaurant was almost full. Good and fast service when ordering extras (for example, an extra bottle of wine, or water). Place: At the city center, between Downtown (Baixa) and Uptown (Boavista), at a nice neighborhood called Miguel Bombarda/Galerias. Physical Evidence: Very well decorated and full of windows. Everything seems at the right place, lights included. Clean bathroom. Not noisy. They also have a nice place to wait/bar. People: very friendly at booking, seating, ordering and at check out.
Overall: very good, a place to go again

Read moreIt is very rare that I walk out of a place and know exactly that I write a 5 star review when I get home. Today is such an occasion after visiting OKRA. First of all, the atmosphere is planned to perfection. Everything is styled very cosy, lots of room, light yet not to bright, accoustics are very well thought out and the light is aimed correctly and highlights the decor. The atmosphere is continued even in the toilets, no compromises. The menu is very neat and highlights the best things in the house. I had the pleasure to enjoy a very delicate beef steak tartare with cured egg yolk on top, very delicious and good umami flavour. As the main course, I got myself the pizza Pato & Radiccchio, there as well, wood fired on point and the flavor combination is godly. The chocolate mouse as a dessert is very decadent and full of flavour, perfect consistency and well rounded with cookies on top and some sort of white sauce. Compliments to the chef. Special shoutout to the bar staff as well as their mocktail selection is adequatly sized and had a very good apple-coconut-lime mocktail, not to sweet and well thought out. Last but not least, the staff was very attentive, fast to react and friendly from start to end. I...
Read moreI'm very sorry to write this, but while in principle it could be a very nice restaurant, and I'm sure some dishes are perhaps good, I found my selected pizza, borderline inedible. The 3-4 artichokes came from a can, there were a few slivers of finely sliced asparagus, all covered with uncooked spinach leaves. Ricotta was used a sauce, which made the whole thing taste like it was covered in bechamel sauce and I could not eat this. I know it's just pizza, and don't want to make a drama out of it, but whatever chef came up with this recipe has somehow little understanding of how to use the ingredients. I don't think it's ok to charge 17eur for this. Again, perhaps a margherita would have made this review...
