We sat outside in the garden, which was a nice with the music in the background. It did get a bit colder as it was a September evening and they provided blankets. The environment was like an oasis for a group of 9 and a baby who were looking for somewhere near to the Jardins do Palácio de Cristal for dinner. It was a magical scene with the fairy lights on. They have some original cocktails. The expresso stoutini and watermelon paloma were ok. Others seemed to like the Jangal mule. Also, tried some of the wine. Juice was not freshly made, but that's no big deal. Looked at the ceviche and lobster roll, but the reviews from others left us on the fence. Instead we got 2 of the selection of cheese and sausages to tide us over until the mains, which they don't get on with until you're done with starters. Opted for the "Al Limone" prawn tagliatelli. The pasta seemed to be freshly made, but it was a little too thick. Not the best pasta I've ever had. You got 4 prawns with the heads, which was okay. The lemon taste did come through. A number of the group got the entrecôte. The doneness was on point for European tastes. If you get medium rare, expect to see blood. It came with chips. We asked for ketchup and mayonnaise and that took a while to come. Others got one of the fish dishes and the piri-piri chicken. There were no complaints about either. A few of us shared a side of the wood oven rice, which was a marvellous surprise. It's not massive, so don't expect it to feed 9 people though. On the whole the portion sizes were normal. If you're not starving a main will probably be enough. If you need a bit more share some starters and maybe sides, if you're not opting for a dessert. We were talked into getting a cookie monster for dessert. The cookie is big and thick. It's a dry rather than chewy cookie. It came with an ice cream ball on top and drizzled with a sauce over everything. Not too much of the peanuts and it wasn't overly salty. Perfect for sharing between numerous people none of whom were needing a dessert to finish off the meal. Not outstanding though if you're unsure if it's a must. Service was a bit slow. They have a process and way of doing things and there's not much deviation from that or you'll throw them off their mojo. Our server was lovely nevertheless. Most people seemed to be Spanish speakers rather than Portuguese, but it was not a problem for us. It's not a cheap meal. Not sure if it is value for money. Overall we would not put others off coming, as we did not have a negative experience by any means. It just didn't overwhelm us and make us need to go back for more. Cute hidden garden, it’s an especially great spot when the sun is out. You can chill, enjoy the greenery, and sip on cocktails in a very cool atmosphere. We went for lunch, and while the ambiance was fantastic, the food itself was quite basic and didn’t really live up to expectations, especially given the high prices. The Jangal pizza was good but nothing exceptional. All the main courses were too sweet for my taste. We had the entrecôte and the codfish. However, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience more enjoyable.

Pleasant garden setting on a summer day. Good for drinks but skip the food. They accommodated our large group without a reservation, which we appreciated. Payment became awkward when they claimed someone hadn't paid but couldn't specify which items, which was odd. At 4 PM a DJ started blasting music so loud we couldn't talk. Despite people still ordering drinks, they clearly wanted us gone. The place wasn't even busy, so their attitude was puzzling. I'd return for a few drinks if I'm nearby, but wouldn't make a special trip.

I recently visited this restaurant with a group, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired for all. To start, we were charged 3 euros per person for the bread basket, which was hard and old. We asked for more bread since there were five of us and they had only provided one small basket, but to our surprise, they charged us an additional fee for the second basket.

When our main courses arrived, all the dishes were cold. While we were seated outside, and it was a chilly evening, I would still expect the food to be served hot. We politely asked for the dishes to be reheated, but they came back cold again. Not wanting to make a scene, we didn’t complain again at the time.

Toward the end of the meal, we requested one more time for the entrecôte to be heated, and even then, it came back cold. It’s simply unacceptable for a restaurant charging 20 euros or more per dish to serve such poor-quality food.

Overall, this was a very disappointing dining experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for...
