Read moreThis place is absolutely lovely and very well located, just 15 minutes walk (or a slow walk of 20 mins) from the most central places. ||Opposite the premises is a beautiful park (Jardins do Palácio de Cristal) with peacocks and stunning views over Porto. The decor of the rooms and the common areas are beautiful, the staff extremely kind and helpful - thank you Maria and the other lady who went out of her way to ensure that I could connect to their Internet when I lost network coverage.||Breakfast was simple and yet very delicious. What really made a difference was the welcome pastries in my room on arrival plus a slice of home-made cake was always available in the main saloon which was a plus when feeling peckish. ||Despite not being in the centre of Porto, the location is quiet (for a good night's sleep) and very well connected as you can hop on a sight seeing tour bus in front of the premises. I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay. I would stay...
Read moreGreeted with a smile at this lovely 10 room family run B&B across from Palacio de Cristal. Great location-15 minute walk to everything. We stayed in the Grand Suite 201 which was very large and had 2 rooms which was perfect for our adult daughter. This room was on the street facing the Gardens. Spotless and cleaned everyday. The staff was so kind and always smiling. Loved the simple but ample breakfast and sitting outside with a glass of wine in the afternoon journaling.|This is well maintained old house with all of the character that comes with it! Yes you can hear other people walking up the stairs occasionally, yes the street rooms can be noisy if your windows are open but you are gone all day and with the AC at night it was not a bother. It is all part of the experience of staying in a small place. The guests were a mix of all countries. It was fabulous! Loved the people, the food and the culture of...
