This place WAS the best lanche in the city, bar none.
It apparently attracted so much attention due to the influx of tourism that greedy companies decided to do what they do best: Swoop in and buy the place, keep the name (and the fame), and drive the quality of the product deep into the ground, while raising prices. Tourists won't know any better, right? So it's fine!
A sad loss and a mockery of local traditional cuisine. I was a frequent client of this place. Ever since the change in management, I've held off significantly, but decided to visit today as a last hope that they might somehow return to the quality of yore. I was, obviously, disappointed....

The OJ was the highlight of that meal. The coffee taste either bad or burnt. The pastel de NATA had no shell. It was literally the filling in an aluminium tray. And finally, the croissant had one thin layer of flakey shell that came off when picking it up and a dough consistency remaining. It may as well have been bread with sugar baked onto it.
