Absolutely great.
The service: Really fast and easy. Just one man front of house, who seems to really enjoy what he does. Very friendly, in an honest way, and speaks good English.
Menu. We had the cod pie and carbonara. Both were delicious, straight-forward food with no pretence. Washed down with half a litre of house white (some of the nicest I've tried), and finished with a large slice of superb orange cake. Faultless.
Price. €5 per dish? If you're after great food, friendly service and no fuss, you honestly can't beat this place. We were surprised by how tasty the food was and how fast it arrived, which just shows what you can get for the money if you don't need any of the frills and spills more expensive places offer.

The food was delicious, too. I had roasted chicken, and it was marinated with some kind of sauce -- I wish I knew the name. The point is, I am not accustomed to getting anything marinated at these prices. The chicken was prepared and cooked by someone who obviously knew what they were doing; I'm accustomed to paying twice as much for food this good.
