Pão com Carne — Restaurant in Porto

When I was on my way into Porto in a bolt-car I saw Jonathan with 2 beers looking at me with a face I’ve never seen before. I knew immediately at that point that I would have to eat there. I came back later and he warmly welcomed me and my friends. Jonathan also saved us from ordering too much food and I was amazed by how good the price was for the amount of food. I had to ask if I could eat my Cachorro (hot dog) on my way home cause I was too full. As a half Swedish/Brazilian person the food reminded me of all the good memories when eating Brazilian food. It tasted amazing!

Jonathan is a smart, funny, charismatic handsome chap. He’s definitely directly from the Kingsmen movies. He’s one of those people that you never forget. It’s impossible to dislike him.

10/10 - Would come...

Fantastic little hole in the wall eatery serving delicious brazialian streetfood- sandwiches of slow cooked meat and vegetables. They are a taste sensation.

The staff are good craic- engaging, funny, and welcoming. We were served by a half-Scottish, half Brazialian dude called Jonathon who showcased his range of accents. His Scottish was pretty good (7/10), as was his Scouse (another 7/10) but we feel he needs to keep practicing his Irish (4/10 but we’re a tough audience)

Just across from here is a funky little jazz bar. We sat outside The sandwich shop, ate our delicious sandwiches, and listened with a great deal of pleasure to the noise from across the street.

This place didn’t cost a lot but gave us something always desired when traveling- an authentic experience....

Food was AMAZING. Got to meet Roberto and Johnathan and honestly they gave the best service. I tried a hot dog the way Roberto makes it and it was so good. The hot dog was good but the mix with the crazy meat was the cherry on top. Definitely coming back for another hot dog. I also tried the CARNE LOUCA which was the best sandwich I’ve ever had so far. The environment is friendly. Talking to Johnathan felt like talking with a friend he’s so friendly, nice and caring just like Roberto. I definitely recommend this restaurant as a MUST TRY in porto. My first experience with authentic Brazilian food and it’s definitely not gonna be my last. Roberto gave me the perfect first impression on...
