I did a lot of homework looking for the most authentic Francesinha in Porto. Literally hours, reading reviews, using Couchsurfing to speak with local people, etc. It came down to Decomur & Cafe Santiago. My girlfriend and I flipped a coin and it landed on Decomur. I am so happy it did!!! Amazing, truly amazing! Local restaurant, authentic feeling and great service, and the Francesinha was delightful. The sauce, the love, the flavor. Wow. Amazing.

Came here for a fast lunch. The food was quite good, delicious soup, with a lot of vegetables. Very tasty rice and delicious sardines, really good experience, friendly waiter, with the typical Portuguese approach of being funny. Will for sure return. The fries are frozen, didn’t taste them, but asked, so went for the rice that was delicious

Locals restaurant - 0700-1700 only - absolutely superb local home made delicious food - salt cod with onion batter with big sliced flat chips was top! Steak egg chips sublime- wish we had something 1/2 as good in uk (and this was one of many many lunchtime restaurants in this area!) recommended ! So non touristy but friendly...
