I had breakfast at this café and unfortunately the service was some of the worst I have experienced. Upon arrival, I was the first customer of the day, I greeted the waitress with 'good morning' and a smile to which she responded "how many??". She threw the menus at us and said they don't have the majority of the items on it, including anything with bread as it was yet to arrive, and ran away. Again, we were the first seated customers at 10.05am on a Monday morning. The café filled up quickly and we were told that if we wanted coffee, we would have to wait a "long time". Eventually the yogurt dish arrived and was really terrible, sickeningly sweet and had something which resembled crumbled chocolate cookies instead of granola. The scrambled eggs were so undercooked, they were inedible. We politely asked for a second coffee to accompany the food as it had taken so long to arrive and we were told that we would have to wait until they had enough mugs to serve it in. At this point we asked for the bill. I understand places can be busy and this can cause staff members some stress but every single interaction was beyond unpleasant and rude. There was no apology nor thanks for the 10% tip that I left. I highly recommend people avoid this place and find...
Read moreI stumbled upon this place on my walk around the area and then decided to give it a try. My coffee and cake were delicious, and the staff was kind and smiling.
However, I felt like I was not truly welcomed. I was asked to move twice because I was alone and should not occupy too much space. Ok, I get it. It was very crowded... however, being moved twice in 15 minutes was a little overwhelming. Other than that, I also saw how two other customers who finished drinking their coffee were asked to leave due to new customers waiting. Well, it was not too rude or forced, but still, it made me feel uncomfortable.
I also can understand that you want to give everyone the opportunity to sit and taste your offers, but this makes one feel not welcome at all. And for me a café is a place to rest shortly and take a breath. That's why I will probably not come again. But you can give it a try and make up...
Read moreHad high hopes for this place after reading reviews but was disappointed. The breakfast food was overpriced, portions tiny and the choice was very limited especially as they ran out of savoury breakfast items really fast. No decaf options on the coffee for my caffeine intolerant friend. One item came out much later and was lukewarm. On the plus the eggs were poached perfectly and the Turkish eggs were tasty, not as mind-blowing or even as good as the other reviews lead me to believe. Not really spiced enough to be authentically Turkish flavoured either. A mediocre experience. Staff were pleasant but flustered and brought us the wrong order for coffee. Uncomfortable chairs as well. I understand they won't be doing breakfast anymore which is no great loss. However I wish them a lot of luck in the future with their new direction and hope it works out for them as I can see it's a nice...
