Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Porto

Is location is everything, this Pizza Hut is EVERYTHING! Best Pizza Hut location I have ever seen. First off, I love Pizza, and when abroad finding good pizza can be a hit or miss. Going to an establish brand like Pizza Hut abroad, you kind of know what you are going to get. Although, I must say, the pizza hut both here and in Ho Chi Minh was, for some reason, seemed much better then the Pizza Huts in the states....I know that makes no sense!

At any rate, the river views were awesome on both levels! The pizza was very tasty, even if it was a little burnt (one of the reasons for the 4 stars instead of 5). The pizza actually lead me to another Pizza Hut down the river the next evening (I told you I love Pizza, and I’m traveling around Portugal for 3 months, so....)

The other reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that they overcharged me by 3+ euros ($4 usd) because i ordered and received a medium with one ingredient, Pepperoni. They charged me for the Pepperoni Lovers pizza. They fixed the bill and it...

Very disappointing experience at Pizza Hut Foz.

I saw on Uber Eats that almost all pizzas were part of a “buy one, get one free” promotion. Since the restaurant is within walking distance, I decided to go there directly to order for our group, as restaurants usually appreciate when you skip the delivery apps and their commission fees.

However, when I arrived, it turned out that the promotion was not available if you ordered directly at the restaurant. The Uber Eats app also didn’t allow me to order and pick it up myself.

The staff then suggested calling Pizza Hut to get better deals, but that also didn’t work since I don’t have a Portuguese phone number. Which is needed, even when standing in their store.

In the end, I paid the full price at the restaurant. On top of that, I was told that a “Family size” pizza serves 3 to 4 people, but honestly, it was barely enough for 2, and we’re not big eaters. We ended up spending over €65 for five people and still didn’t have enough food.

Definitely our last time...

Very disappointing tonight. Our pizza came before we'd had our starter. They took it back and 10mins later our starter came. Immediately after the pizza came. Clearly it was the same pizza. It was cool and dry. We asked for a fresh one and the manager eventually brought it after 15mins. During the 15 minute wait however, another member of staff asked if we were ready for dessert?! I suppose he thought we'd eaten as we had been in the restaurant an hour by then!! The manager didn't apologise or come back and check if everything was ok, in fact he didn't come back at all. The bill was passed to us by a friendly young man and he was the only one who acknowledged the mistakes. No offer of complimentary drink/starter/dessert or even coffee. I will never go there again. Such a shame as it looked such a nice...
