Slow service, mediocre food and high prices.
We were seated at 19:10. One person serving pretty much all of the tables, so ordering was very slow. We enquired about allergens, and for every question, they had to go to check with the chef. Finally, we were able to order around 19:45, but we didn't feel any kind of welcoming attitude, as the waitress was clearly in rush to serve all tables.
A courvet was served which we did not order (and which was later charged). My spouse could only look at it due to allergens.
Finally, at 20:20 we got our dishes which looked boring to say the least. Steak was medium rare, were it should have been medium. To be fair, my spouse didn't specify, but that was because we were in the heat of conversation, and she simply forgot to note that. It's the first time ever the waiter did not ask at all, so it never came up.
My Iberian pork was delicious, but both dishes were served with french fries and cut vegetables with no sauces, or any imagination in the presentation. We are taking about 20 € per person service here.
Nobody ever came to check on us if the food was good, but we didn't expect this anyway. Wine was good, but then again, this is Porto, it's not hard to nail that aspect of dining.
Not too bad experience, but I will not be coming back and I wouldn't recommend visiting to others, as Porto's food scene is far more...
Read moreA place we went for a first experience and one we might not repeat. Food was ok. We ordered a few starters, three house specialty burguers XL and a Burrata for our main course, finalizing with a few desserts. Unfortunately, considering what we got, the price was way over what would be logical, even considering the area we went to.
Personally, the only thing that was adjusted to both the area and the quality of what was presented, was one of the desserts (mousse de chocolate com gelado de caramelo). It was that delicious.
The place itself is really hard to enter for anyone with a bigger body structure and space for each individual is enough without room for wide movement. Without considering the cramped size, the place itself was well put together with a very cozy atmosphere.
Staff was friendly and easy to talk to which was a good plus, at least.
The music was at the right volume and someone has very good taste, in my personal opinion.
Overall, it was an okay experience but one we just might not...
Read moreLittle restaurant in the nice neighborhood of Foz. The waiters are nice and the service was fast. However they were a few glitches (dishes that we didn't ask that came to our table, or changing us to a table inside to tell us 2 min later that there was a mistake, that the table is not for us and that we have to go back outside). The food was good, but a bit expensive. For 2 people, we got 2 cocktails (pisco sour), 2 starters (Lulinhas e Gambas panadas, croquetes de vitelao), 2 mains (ceviche peixerada pura, cevichon de salmon),1 portion of fries, 1 glass of wine and 1 coffee. We paid 61€. The portion are also not particularly big. Overall, we liked it. If you like ceviche, I warmly recommend the ceviches, both of them...
