"TURIST TRAP! Avoid this place at all costs. I went with a friend for dinner as it was the only option open at that hour. The prices are absurd considering the size and quality of the meal. We ordered a pizza and lasagna. The pizza seemed like a kid's menu option and had no taste whatsoever. The lasagna was definitely a microwave-frozen, supermarket version served in a ridiculously small portion and was cold inside. I requested it to be reheated, but instead, it was burned. Despite this, they had no issue serving the burned dish to our table. The waitstaff are all teenagers, and while one might understand their lack of training, it's unacceptable for the chef to be unprepared. Given the late hour and lack of options, I reluctantly accepted the terrible food and service, but I strongly advise against visiting this...
Read moreA friend and I were walking around Santa Catarina and decided to have dinner at the pizzeria. We went in and sat at a table. Several employees passed us both, from one side to the other and not a single word was addressed to us. The restaurant, which is already small, started to fill up. A couple arrived who put themselves in the box and my friend and I thought they would have dense to ask at the counter. Until the maid tells the couple that they can sit at the table in front of us. After 15 minutes of waiting, without anyone having even asked us what we wanted to eat, the same waitress goes to the couple's table. They order and I thought "now come here, finally". Not. It was simply recording the request of the couple who arrived after us and continued to ignore us. It's a huge lack of respect for the customer. Perhaps they should invest more in training in customer service. Or not having problems serving Portuguese customers and only paying attention to foreign customers. If I have to sit at a table, spend 20 minutes being ignored by all the staff and have to get up to leave without dinner, I won't go back nor recommend it.
Read moreA nice, casual pizza joint. The hubs and I ducked in when the sky let loose with buckets of rain, and it was a good move! Hubs got the Diavola pizza, and I got a lasagna. The pizza was very tasty. Thin and nicely baked. It’s very difficult for me to not order pizza - it’s my favorite food, but the lasagna was calling my name today, so I went with it. Well, I didn’t get any pics of the lasagna because once the super friendly server put it down in front of me, I was so excited to dig in that I forgot to get a pic! It was super cheesy, with ground beef and a delicious tomato sauce. Perfectly baked in the oven. This is the stuff I dream of (especially on a cold rainy day)! When I go back next week, I’ll be sure to...
